I’m a fan of testmy.net. Ookla never seemed to give me actual results while I was on spectrum. Several times I’d just get a printout of what my speeds were supposed to be, but then no download would come close, and 480p videos could barely buffer.

Ballgags, actually… Keeps them quiet… (¬_¬")

The bathroom was the only place my family would give me even a moments rest. I used to hide in there just so I could disengage my brain for 15 mins. Then my mom decided I was doing something nefarious in there and she’d fucking sit outside the bathroom blabbering incessantly to try to drive me out.
All these other people are completely right, but also I just took mine off and flipped it so that the holes were on top it gave me a solid two inches more water space. It was just two phillips screws.
A username field isn’t for your real name, it’s for a username and it has always been for that. Stop being intentionally obtuse.
What’s to stop them from using all of the required user fields and then running a background fingerprinting check and then using that fingerprint every single time you visit a site? It doesn’t have to be your real date of birth. What matters is that it’s a consistent info for your user account so that they can identify who you are. Obviously there are other ways to fingerprint a user, but this just makes it easier to do so, and it’s another unnecessary datapoint for “them” to use.
People are defending this with such fervor, too, that it really makes a person doubt whether they’re even arguing against actual humans. Like, I can see why people would be against general change or against privacy invasion, but why would someone care so much about defending a date of birth field?

Time is exactly why a lot of people in America choose to drive. Public transit practically doesn’t exist, or would take two hours to go about a 30 minute drive bleeding away all your time. I just checked, and there’s not even a bus that runs close to when I go in. It costs $4 and over two hours. I’d have to arrive more than six hours early to take the bus. And that’s with the bus stop, literally in the parking lot of the business.
America needs to decuple their public transportation spending for about a decade just for us to catch up with the developed world.

It sounds like this post is about pedestrians not paying attention and walking into traffic, though. It doesn’t matter if they’re driving too fast, if someone’s not paying attention and walks out in front of a bus…
I think you’re making a different but equally valid argument.
My wife was personally offended when I read her your comment. I thought you would enjoy knowing.

If this was true, then they would have no problem with agreeing to paying us $50 mil each in the event of a data breach, since it could never happen, right?
You shouldn’t be letting your children on those kinds of sites.
They might actually enjoy those. I found best effect by using something else that they might consider diminutive. Kiddo, sport, Buck, “little man”. If they get too upset, you can always pass it off as, “oh, sorry. That’s what I call my sibling/kid/nephew” etc. Which is the same bullshit reasoning they tend to give us “oh sorry, it’s just how you look though.”
Those arms might not be able to write about existential crises, but they certainly have them, trust me. Watching an arm stop loading for 30 seconds sitting there mid motion, then continue about its day, it almost makes wonder if we should be giving these things half hour breaks along with everyone else.
Imagine some idiot drives away with the nozzle still in and the pump turns into a litteral fire shower after an errant spark.

If this doesn’t trigger a mass exodus nothing will. Anyone left after this must love being exploited.
I bought like, 50 of these to give out at work and people actually use them. I’ll tell you what, it’s a hell of a mental boost when people remember they have them after seeing me and move the sliders back up.
Coca-Cola is once again using generative AI to reimagine its classic Coke caravan holiday commercials, and in doing so, killing some of the festive joy you have for the brand.
Oh, you got me fucked up for someone else, The Verge. A soda manufacturer shilling their product does not bring me, nor anyone I know, “joy”.
Far miss on this. I’m too lazy to even look into new instances to move off of .world, let alone manage multiple accounts.

Hi friend, just to understand, what sort of language would you prefer be used that carries the same weight and connotation to the target of discussion? I’m struggling to find other words that weild the same intentions that couldn’t be categorized under “ableist”.
Actually, there’s a pretty solid chance that a significant asteroid hitting Earth could create enough ejected material to cause serious issues for habitation facilities on the Moon.
