Intentionally, right? Right?
I don’t want to install it, so when I accidentally close the browser tab, it’s just silence for me. Really started to embrace the focus time I get from that.

Zugegeben: Weder kenne ich die genauen Regeln von dach, noch habe ich mehr als die Überschrift gelesen. Trotzdem frage ich mich, ob sowas unbedingt hierher gehört?

Thanks for your comment! Sounds like an awesome journey, I love that it makes you think about what you really need. Maybe I’ll give my current setup another thought to try avoid buying another device!

I might look into that, thanks!

OsmAnd was what I used so far and while I love the routes it gave me, navigation always felt cumbersome. Often times I turned the screen of to save power, which caused me to then take wrong turns all day. Not a big deal on most days, but on some it really is…

Thanks for your answer! Since you go explicitly “by USB” I assume everything else goes via their app only, right?

My most recent project requires me to use teams again -.-
It finds new ways to loose my peripheral devices ever day and adds effects to my camera that are not even available in the menu. I’m wondering if they try to get you to install it, or hate Mac users or Firefox or whatever. I mean it has been bad for all the time I knew it, but it seems to be getting even worse.

That’s one thing I really love about the whole self hosting deal. I find more and more apps that I can run on my server und just utilize it on all my hardware. Only have your phone on you? No problem. Working on your companies computer? Just open the browser.
No reason to install and maintain stuff on 4 different devices
The vibe coding bro in my team proudly announced that he had even written some proper tests for our recent software project. Since I had struggled with that quite a bit (because of reasons) I wondered how he had achieved it and how they worked. “I don’t know” was the answer I got.

What about cutlery? A nice fork to the eye

I have a Mac for work (dev shit) and used to love it. Still prefer it over Windows, but what really bugs me: All the preinstalled jank you can’t get rid of makes it do weird default behavior way too often. And the screens man. Trying to use multiple monitors on a dock makes me hate my life a little more every day. It’s an absolute shitshow
It’s always fun to push these mentally challenging tasks through the week, because there is no straight 2h to focus

Thx for making this post and pointing me towards CoMaps! I installed OsmAnd during my own little move away from big Corps last year, but ended up with the same issues. Just installed CoMaps and within a minute I already like it more!

With the intention of getting into 3D printing myself, I spend quite some time researching printers. Prusa checks many of my requirements and I love their approach. But the printers really seem a lot more pricey in comparison to what the competition has to offer. I get where that comes from and I’m likely to get a Prusa in the end just because of principles. But this is something you have to consider I guess.

Welch ein großartiges Bild zum Artikel!
Nice work! How is the horizontal tenon attached that the headphone rests on?
I was wondering how this will have any effect on the Programm you are going to run. Had to go to the comments to find out it’s not about that kind of jar
I can’t quite figure out where your question is, but I will just add my own little ramble anyway.
I wanted to get into cycling (sports and also touring) for ages. I also spend so much time overthinking it, looking at bikes, looking at specs, debating on how much I want to spend. After being held back by that for way too long, I just bought a bike that looked nice (like really just the optics)(It still has some decent specs - it’s neither bottom nor top end). Been riding it ever since and never looked back! I enjoy that it’s not a 5k bike because I go places with it. Gear gets put on it, I leave it outside on overnight trips, I ride it on gravel and forest roads. I work on it and learn stuff about my bike.
What my take is I guess: It will be fine! Take one that fits your budget okish (with biking there will be more than enough opportunities to spend money, don’t worry 🙃 ) and maybe one you can try out IRL. Maybe one from a shop that also cares to repair it if you are not into that. Also it’s not like every gramm matters if you don’t plan to be competitive.
Don’t know if that helps, but feel free to ask back!
