I had a bad experience drinking and decided to stop drinking for awhile. It went well and I decided to stop drinking completely forever. It’s been several years now. Your article covers most of the experience but you didn’t mention one pro and one con:
Pro: you can always drive. No matter what you’re doing, you can at any point hop in your car and go home.
Con: People will be offended and beg you you to drink with them. Super annoying. Got used to it after a few years.

They were BANNED, not just banned. Trash clickbait title and thumbnail.

They called 'em the Lead Pancake in high school.
I’m 95% sure that is a cat.
Reminds me of the guy with the 2nd gen Dodge trying to pull Mjolnir out of the ground in the first Thor movie

I don’t feel fulfilled as a programmer unless I’m inputting instructions by hand on punch cards. I refuse to work anywhere or use software that uses any higher level abstractions. It might feel faster using Assembly or using a keyboard but there’s actually no productivity gains.

Wow so brave.
Are pixels folk punk?

I don’t have a TV in my house, technically. I’ve got a projector in the living room but that only works at night. All the TV we watch is just on laptops or tablets.
There was an option, and some companies did ship a disc with the installation files. Obviously the license was tied to the Steam account and not to the disc, but if companies weren’t shipping the disc with the license, that’s their fault for cheaping out, not Steam.

I like AI and use it often.
The q tip toes are so cute. My cat steals them out of the box in the bathroom, so when we have guests over we need to put out a disclaimer that the q tips on the floor are clean.

Cheapest one I see is $117 + $30 shipping on eBay, so even that number is going to be regional.

Under $40 is a bit of a stretch
No friggen way
Turn based games work the best for this, you can stop playing at any moment or resume at any moment without any issues. I played Civilization III for most lectures through university. Civ III does run under Proton but not well. Civ V has a native build, and would be a good entry point into the series.
