The crazy thing is, the government doesn’t outlaw this.

The thing is, people with low IQ and stupid people are two different groups. My IQ was once tested over 140, and I have done, and still sometimes do, some pretty stupid stuff. I can also be quite dense.

Well, I score very high on both!
Both, I installed a double shower.

Some disgruntled employee burnt down the warehouse where he was working, he called it a Luigi moment.
Very much this. In the last few years, a lot of the youtubers I follow have moved from 20 minute-ish videos to 50 minute-ish videos, and I don’t like it; most of the time the video could be a lot shorter. The worst perpetrators will have 1 hour videos where half of the content is rehashed from older videos, and after each new video follows a week of daily shorts from said video.

The thumb on the left is pointing the wrong way for this.
Did you know that you can just put “college student” on your resume instead of “sex worker”?

Finished “a death in Cornwall” by Daniel Silva, and now a little over half way through “an inside job”, the next and latest book in this series. While I think the previous was a decent enough book, it left me with the feeling that the author was tip-toeing around the whole Israel situation where the series was heavily Israel centered in the earlier books (and deliberately pointing at a different country in the process). The not adressing of the current state of affairs in Israel goes on in the latest book unfortunately. Also, the plot twists are too predictable,

They could be a day apart in a leap year!
Thanks, I didn’t need to know that.
Plot twist: Mr Web Dev is also in charge of the mailserver of this small company, and was the only one to actually see the invitation. The rest was misteriously undelivered. (source: stolen from a previous time I saw this meme)

Nice map, but if I remember it correctly, housing prices in 2019 were the same as in 2008 before the crisis. Houses are still too expensive here in the Netherlands, but this reeks of cherry picking.
I like your thinking, but he’s never going to be tried in the Hague. The US has made clear it will invade the Netherlands if a US citizen is going on trial here, and besides, he’s either mentally unfit or he won’t live that long.
Definitely not a heart.
I’ve read the “1/3 couldn’t be bothered” sentence about 10 times last week, from different posters. So, no change coming I guess, just vote “not Trump”?

I’m probably way older, I remember Microprose from their flight simulators like Gunship and F19 stealth fighter.

When the Germans invaded my country in 1940, someone in the street I currently live in was standing behind the window, looking at the approaching soldiers. (I live real close to the border). The Germans, upon seeing him, shot him and he died right there. There’s no memorial, no history book where this guy is mentioned. I only know about this through oral history, my grandfather told my dad and he told me. History is always about the leaders and the armies, never about the civilians.

I don’t know how it is elsewhere, but in the Netherlands (as per EU regulation) the limits of dangerous substances in food are determined according to the ALARA principle. For fish, the limits are a lot higher because otherwise fish would be blacklisted, there’s always more toxic substances in fish because they are caught in open water. The same open water where chemical corporations dump their waste streams containg mercury, PFAs etc. So according to our government eggs from your own chickens aren’t healthy because of PFAS*, but fish containing more PFAS is.
*Commercial eggs are fine, since these chickens don’t get to eat insects, snails or worms from the ground. These animals absorb PFAS from the soil.
The Spanish are on a roll these days, to bad the rest of Europe doesn’t exactly follow their lead.
