X-Men 97 was fucking amazing.
Easily the best project they’ve put out in years and it might even be the best MCU project ever released.
Not the biggest or most watched, just really damn good.
Anyways, everyone should go enjoy that because I don’t expect we’ll get much enjoyment from whatever Feige ends up sharting into cinemas.

The TVs you buy at Costco or Walmart aren’t meant to be run 24/7 365. They never have been.

He should have said commerical displays, which are basically TV’s rated for long continuous use e.g. digital signage.
I haven’t dealt with them in some time, but I would imagine many, if not most, do not include consumer smart tv features, although they probably have other embedded smart tech to help with stuff like signage.

That headline doesn’t do it justice.
Like everyone was involved in it, from the guides to the hospitals.
It’s honestly fucking wild that a scam with that many individuals could go on for that long.

Russia has banned them, sort of.
Although I don’t think their methods would work here, or rather, I don’t think they could grab the kind of power necessary.
Russia now has regional internet blackouts, were they effectively only allow a small number of white listed sites to be accessible.
So if you you literally cannot reach the VPN servers because only a handful of Russian government websites, preferred businesses, and UK banks (oligarchs gotta oligarch) are whitelisted, well then you banned VPNs, again, sort of.
They did roll out a government approved VPN for specific approved individuals and use cases, to a get around those blackouts…so that’s something.

Do you think this is the first person that this particular detective has tried to railroad because they were too lazy to do any real work?
I would be shocked if every single one of his previous cases weren’t full of half-truths, lies, and just generally sloppy work.

Chloe Zhao was a huge Buffy fan and her enthusiasm for the show got Sarah Michelle Gellar to sign-on to her reboot.
Hollywood loves franchises and reboots because of the built-in audience, but her pilot was so bad they scrapped it entirely.
Nothing about this project is at all comparable to The Expanse, which was adapting a series of books, with the authors involvement.
This is adapting a few chapters, without the deceased authors involvement.
A much more relevant comparison would be The Rings Of Power, which was similarly based on an extremely limited scope of Tolkien’s work and while I’m sure some people enjoyed that show, it was broadly very much disliked, as evidenced by it being canceled.
While others are free to disagree, I think it’s fair to say that every Tolkien project, after The LotR trilogy, has been bad, or at best, just not very good.
I’m not saying that this is destined to be bad, I was just taking issue with the notion that it’s guaranteed to be good.

What in the name of Hollywood franchise filmmaking makes you think this can only be a good thing?
I’m open to it being good. I hope it’s good. But I also accept that this can be a steaming pile of shit, or more likely, a bland piece of mediocre slop.
Wait a minute…now that I think about it, didn’t Will Smith make a movie with his son?
Nevermind, this is going to slap, hard.

At no point that did I say that the killing of the girls was a strategic move to demoralize the IRGC.
And I remain dumbfounded as to why people keep giving the benefit of the doubt to Trump and Hegseth.
I’m not saying it was a strategic choice, I’m saying I could easily see Pete being a sadist who got off on killing those schoolgirls, who approved the strike package based on that alone, and that’s before you even consider his crusades and killing Muslims fetishes.
In that scenario the fact that they are the children of IRGC members just gives him an excuse to rationalize his choice to pleasure himself with their blood.
Again, I don’t know that’s what happened, but I know it’s just as likely as it being an “oppsie” when the man in charge of the Pentagon is a known abuser of women, in addition to being a drunk moron ultra Zionist Christian nationalist with crusader tattoos.

I genuinely don’t know why you’re giving them the benefit of the doubt.
None of us here knows the truth, and I would posit that it’s just as likely, if not more likely, that that school was targeted intentionally, as it was used for the children of IRGC officers.

Not my top comment and the guy you were responding to is a fucking tool.
But broken clocks and all that.

When was the last time a European state deployed counter-terrorism police or soldiers to protect muslim communities as a response to anti-Muslim hate crimes?
So while I don’t disagree with your premise, the politically motivated decisions to deploy soldiers in Belgium and counterterrorism police in Britain are choices that are clearly rooted in each state’s support of Zionism, or at minimum, the states preferential treatment of Jews over other minorities, and can be legitimately criticized as such.

The answer to this problem can be piracy, but there’s also just rotating your subscription churn.
Sign up for HBO for a month, go to cancel, and take the next 6 months half off offer.
Cancel HBO after the discount period, and then sign up for Netflix for 2 months, then cancel and go to back to HBO, or pick any other streamer you want, but only pay for one at a time.

The Pitt
Slow Horses
IT: Welcome to Derry
The Expanse
Murderbot
Dept Q
And that’s just a handful of (mostly) recent shows off the top of my head.
But if you want more targeted recommendations, tell us what types of shows or genres you’re most interested in.

Will Trent had an amazing premiere, but has been diminishing returns ever since.

Pick your poison.
The Ellisons will eventually fail at Paramount because the culture is largely against their brand of politics, and WB, HBO, etc. could have survived long enough to have be sold off once that happens.
Netflix is going to destroy a load-bearing structure of Hollywood for the sake of streaming slop.
But it’s all speculation anyways, and none of it matters, since they opted for your choice of poison, not mine.

I’ve never rooted for Comcast in my life, but even I know that they were best of a very bad bunch who had any chance at winning this bidding process.
There was NO good outcome from this sale, but Netflix is the worst possibility.
Say what you will about the Ellisons, they aren’t actively trying to destroy cinema (just pervert it), nor are they running the biggest slop machine in existence, but Netflix is, on both accounts.
This isn’t saying I think it would have been good if Paramount won, just less bad than Netflix, as at least HBO would have probably survived.
