Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci (born December 9, 1985) is a retired Brazilian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coach and former Counter-Strike player and coach.

In September 2020, Apoka received a 5.4-month ban from all ESIC member events starting September 28, 2020 for exploiting a coach spectating bug during his time at Luminosity Gaming, INTZ eSports, and BOOM Esports. [1] Additionally, Apoka received a permanent ban from Valve events due to exploiting the coaching bug. [2] On April 13th, 2021, his ban was reduced following an appeal to ESIC dating back to November 2020. As a result, his ban would have ended his ban on January 15, 2021. [3] Additionally, on March 1, 2023, Apoka's permanent Major ban was commuted, allowing him to participate in Valve-sponsored events again. [4]

Trivia

[edit]
  • Apoka's nickname is the diminutive of his old nickname "Apocalypse", he had to change it because he lost a 1v1 against a guy with the same nickname (they had bet that the winner would stay with the nickname). bit and dread actually played the 1v1 for him but they still lost it.
  • Was elected by public the best coach of 2021 in Brazil at Gamers Club Awards. [5]
