Good is subjective, and I personally don’t think entertaining always has to equal good.
I get where you’re coming from. There’s a lot of bitching about the algorithm and it’s tempting to just say, “Maybe your videos just suck, man”, but it’s not always true, and, as a a bonus, not very constructive feedback.
That’s not quite how I would phrase it. It’s not that the video was necessarily shit, but your audience was bored by it, and it doesn’t take a rocket-scientist-algorithm to figure out if people are bored by your video or not.
YouTube is still mostly a platform for entertainment, even when a video is supposed to educational. “Good” videos won’t get algorithm’d if people are bored by the video and/or your thumbnail + title don’t draw people in. Make an entertaining video that draws people in and it won’t matter how long your video is (granted, a 4 hour long entertaining video is a lot harder to make than a 2 minute video.)

As soon as I started my 9-5 job, my wrist started hurting. Fortunately, my workplace bought me some vertical mice and it’s all I needed. It took some getting used to and I can’t play FPSes with them, but I’m not playing those for 8 hours a day, so I just switch back when needed.
If it was a simple, “Click here and now you have your code!” I would’ve done it, but since it seems to want me to jump through hoops for a rather ugly skin I’ll probably never use, I’ll pass.
It’s not a very Linux-y answer, but VSC does allow you to compare 2 pages for differences. Those pages can be unsaved or saved files.
Halo 3 ODST also has cross-platform campaign, so if your friend who was missing it gets it, it should work for everyone.

That’s a first for Nintendo consoles. Not a good first, but still a first.
I was introduced to it around 2010 and I thought it looked mid. I then finally tried it in 2012 and it played exactly how I expected it to, which, in my opinion was not very well at all. I like Morrowind and Skyrim, though.

I used Kdenlive quite a bit. If you’re not doing anything professional or don’t have TONS of edits over 30+ minutes, it should do the trick. The reason I say this because sometimes when I have spoken audio cut frequently, the first half a second has a weird blip at the beginning of it. Sometimes they show up in the rendered video, sometimes they only show up in the preview. It’s annoying as hell to go back and try to fix.
There’s also Blender’s video editor, but, man, it has a steep learning curve, at least, for me it did.
I’m really bummed this never ended up panning out.
I’d offer to look into this for a native Linux program, but I don’t have a Wii U, so debugging would be a chore.
I think that’s the result of gamers only more recently adopting Linux. I specifically didn’t switch to Linux in 2012 because I couldn’t play the PC video games I wanted to play.
This might not be a very helpful response, but have you tried getting any Windows software that accomplishes this task running on Linux via WINE?
I’m glad I got one for one my friend’s birthday. Given the price of computer parts, I figured it was only a matter of time before that either went out of stock or skyrocketed in price.
I did. That’s my opinion, most people won’t care I care, but most people don’t.
They absolutely have their users by the balls and I guarantee most people will continue to use the app after this, unfortunately.

I agree that you need to point out that the algorithm isn’t to blame, but saying, “Your videos aren’t getting algorithm’d because your videos suck” isn’t constructive and is far more likely to piss people off. If you don’t care about pissing people off then 🤷
