

Idk that’s part of the problem, the recipe calls for them to be dredged in a mix of seasoned flour and cornmeal and then baked until done and they just end up cracking and looking like dried shit patties
I think it needs some kind of binder since i feel like if I were making this non vegan I’d put milk and egg into it like i’m making a black bean meat loaf. So maybe next time I’ll try adding soy milk to it
Edit: i just asked the google lying machine if xanthan gum would help and it says it might so i might try that too
It also suggested I saute the vegetables before forming the cakes which is something I feel stupid for not thinking of doing to begin with








the lying machine also recommended dehydrating the beans a little which I’ll probably try too
fuck maybe I should just dehydrate everything, turn it all into a powder and make a literal bean cake
