Am I good at math

(+1)

Collect my coins. Collect my bills. Collect my pages.

This game probally has the most annoying and off-putting sfx I've ever heard.

This was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the different mechanics (weighing gems, forgeries, etc.) and the worldbuilding was really interesting!

(+2)

There really should have been a +1000 button, and it started to drag a little in the end. Great game though!

I'm missing something about converting between currencies.  I understand the rounding rule, but are we meant to assume that all copper coinage is equivalent in value?  IE, 1 copper Bean = 1 copper Talon = 1 copper Paw, etc?  It's never stated in the manual that such is the case.

No, page 43 and onward tells you the exchange rate between their copper coins.

I'm glad that I got 67'ed after wasting 20 minutes on the boss stage just to be wrong. /s

Love this game but it confused me so much, I'll explain the main rules in case you are also confused. The rest is in the book.

Basics:

Your are given coins, and you have to sum up their values.

Animals live in nations. Each nation has its own version of gold+silver+copper coins, signified by a symbol on the coins, called Paws and Talons and so on. Coins with no symbol are called Commons but they work the exact same way.

You always pay out in coppers. Your book tells you how exactly to convert each nation's gold and silver coins to their copper coins. Coppers are always valued at 1 of that nation's currency. So 1 copper Paw coin is paid out as +1, while 1 silver Paw coin is paid out as +12, as seen in the book. This in total would be a payment of +13 Paws that you put in your calculator.

Advanced:

Sometimes you are asked to pay out in a different nation's currency than what you were given, you can see the symbol of the currency they want in your calculator. This means any coins you added up, you need to convert their value to the right nation's currency before submitting.

Page 43 and onward tells you the exchange rate between their copper coins.

Things to watch out for:

Copper and Gold coins kinda look similar. The coins you get from the first customer of the game are copper.

If your book is open, sometimes it covers up coins on your desk, remember to count those too.

If you get decimal numbers while converting, keep using them until you are ready to submit, then round your number, always up, to get your final number. Only round once, at the end.

Beans:

The gold and silver coins of Beans (Legacy) and Beans (Current) are identical, nothing changed about them except the symbol. But copper Beans (Current) are a new coin twice as valuable as copper Beans (Legacy), so when we express our Silver and Gold Beans (doesn't matter if it's legacy or current) in the new Bean system, they can only buy half as many coppers. A silver Bean (whether legacy or current) buys 10 copper Beans (Legacy), or 5 copper Beans (Current). 2 legacy copper Beans convert to 1 current copper Bean.

Gems:

Gems can have different weights even if they look exactly the same. Drag the gem onto the scales to see how many grams it weighs.

The book tells you how much money one gram of each gemstone is worth, expressed in Common coins. For example, having 1 gram of Diamonds is like having 20 copper Common coins.

Me and my girlfriend love this game, sadly it's only in English (she speaks Spanish so I had to translate for her), if y'all wanted to translate your game to Spanish I'd be glad to help (for free ofc)

Can someone explain how to convert the beans because I can't figure out what the book is talking about

I got u twin, so there's legacy beans and current beans right,  if someone wants Current beans but only has Legacy beans, you count to how many copper it says each coin is worth in copper for legacy beans, then when you have the total, you divide by 2 to get its value in current beans. same with converting current to legacy, expect you multiply the total copper by 2 to get its value in legacy beans.

Oh and i forgot, if you end up with decimal round up

(-1)

John Diamond gave me too many diamonds and one fell off the table, making the stage sadly impossible (I just put 0$)

(+1)

If something falls off the table it just respawns on the table

YYYYYYOOOOUUUUBE!!!

(+1)

This game, sadly, pisses me off. The convertion rates are super difficult to understand. Especially when everything goes to Commons. That I don't get. It's too ahrd for me :(

ok i got u, maybe get a calc pulled up on the side, it helps, anyway you get the regular value of the currency, then multiply that by the conversion rate, so if it says 0.5, you multiply the total by that. Remember to round up if you get a decimal.

why the wolf is bugged when it says 97 i only saw 91 coin value

Had lots of fun, the math was too hard for me to understand tho. I loved how deep the lore seems to go, and I loved all the interactions with the characters. I also liked how you could move anything around and even weigh all of the stuff even the results. Great game!

Bug on Linux when trying to run the downloaded EXE through a compatibility layer on Steam that makes it so if you drag your mouse while holding a item, you instantly drop it. Otherwise game runs fine through web browser
Fun game 9/10

(+4)

the tutorial is really bad i didnt understand anything

(+1)

Amazing game, can`t wait for the updates, but forgeries are way too easy to spot out, everything else just fire especially music

Its fun but i don't understand silver/copper to gold. It says one silver is 0.1 gold so what to do?

(+1)

Basically everything is based off its copper values:

1 Gold Common = 100 Copper 1 Silver Common = 10 Copper 1 Copper Common = 1 Copper

When making the game we were rushing to get it out for the game jam and so some of the books info is a little too much for what is actually needed sorry.

(+2)

Amazing and frustrating game, I (and my family watching and commenting) loved it.

I got half of them wrong, and sometimes I don't even know why.

Would play again.

Also I learned that birds are RICH, and I shouldn't trust lizards, especially if their name is Pablo.

the weight is calculated even when you are still holding the thing, not just when you put it down.

nice game otherwise.

(+1)

I think being able to calculate weight without letting go is a useful feature, really helps with testing counterfeits

(+2)

yooo they did not have to cook this much with the music

(+1)

incredible game, I love Johnny razer. The game is super fun joking around with my friends, pretending to be coworkers, saying John diamond is the root of all evil, but I constantly just make one mistake

i really love the gameplay! My only issue is with the gemstones. especially with the first customer of day 4. I cannot for the life of me figure out how it works. How do I convert them? Why are same type of gemstones not the same weight? Why do almost none of the gemstones match the weight in the manual?

(+3)

You multiply the weight of the gem by the rate. For example, a diamond is 20 common coins per gram. Say you put a diamond on the scale, and it says 40 grams. 40grams*20coins per gram=800 common coins. And you do that for each gem weight/value.
I'm going to continue using 40grams just for reference. CPG means 'coins per gram'
40g diamond * 20 cpg = 800 coins
40g emerald * 10 cpg = 400 coins
40g ruby * 5 cpg = 200 coins
40g sapphire * 2 cpg = 80 coins
40g amethyst * 1 cpg = 40 coins

Just replace the 40g with whatever the weight of the gem is.

man i didnt know that the picture frame weighs one kil

Please tell me I'm not the only one who (somehow) keeps failing the fourth customer on Day3

found this game on youtube from a guy that I think is friends with the low poly palm tree dinosaur and the blue bunny and maybe the yt shorts speedrunner

How do I switch which monitor this plays on? It's on my 2nd monitor and I want it on my 1st

(+1)

If you're on Windows, press the the Windows Key + Shift + the Left Arrow Key. This isn't a game-specific thing though, you should be able to just look it up on Google based on your operating system

(+1)

Windows Key + Shift + Arrow Key or Alt+Enter if you don't have a windows key according to reddit.

(+1)

So you're telling me the REAL Jonny RaZeR helped make this? And it's a free game? In this economy? No way

(Jokes aside this looks sick)

Nah it was the fake Jonny RaZeR.

(1 edit) (+1)

Dang, I was really excited 😞😞😞

So you're telling me the FAKE Jonny RaZeR helped make this? And it's a free game? In this economy? No way

(+2)

I AM THE ORIGINAL WOLFWALKER

(+2)

Finally an excuse to use my Ti-84 Plus.

(+1)

Love the game, but for some reason whenever i look at it my gpu starts buning hot as the sun. Mechanics: 9/10, calc: calc/10, background storyline war/10. love your work, excited for whatever comes next

(+1)

i guess when you add silly cats and forign currency to math it actually is fun

(+1)

I really like it the scale did broke with (what i guess) the silver coins

(+4)

Just some gameplay really ;)

I CANNOT CONVERT BETWEEN OLD AND NEW BEANS HELP ME

(+3)(-1)

divide the final amount by 2. If there's a decimal round up by 1 :)

(+5)

Oh I completely forgot about that, I was wondering why my conversions were slightly off. You are truly evil for forcing us to do math

(+1)

this game is amazing but really hard took me like an hour to get the hang of but after that its really fun. the voice acting is great the characters are really funny (i like john diamond) and the game runs great.

(+5)

We are so happy you enjoyed! Thanks for playing. John Diamond is one of our team’s favorite too. :)

(+2)

I am making a video on your game (All Good Things. loved the gameplay). Can I use this image in it? John Diamond is awesome (though he did threaten my life one time)

(+2)

Artist of the game here! feel free to use it :D glad you like it hehe

(+1)

Thanks!

(+1)

Excited to see what you make! :)

(+1)

I just found out im bad at math

(+1)

perfect game and fun as heck, only problem is that sometimes the wierd shading of the gold coins makes them look like copper
