Incredibly, this is my fourth solo album. It took a change in direction following the sad and sudden passing of my dearly beloved sister, Sue-Claire. I started again and came up with an almost entirely instrumental selection, a process which gave me comfort and a sense of purpose whilst attempting to rationalise such a devastating loss.

Sue-Claire was a fabulously enthusiastic and gifted musician and artist as well as a beautiful soul and we are privileged to have had her with us for nearly 60 years. She was also a great supporter of my own musical endeavours. These tracks are inspired by her love, warmth and kindness to all beings and the earth she loved.

I have released this album as The Flower Press, a name I have been toying with for a while. There are a number of Matt Donovan's out there putting music online and Spotify did a great job in getting our music mixed up. Also, I just like the new name :-)
