At the heart of the track, distant, reverberating mechanics pulse gently beneath a blanket of misty atmospheres. The low tones become more perceptible, almost tangible, helping to highlight the more electronic component of the production. It's a transitional moment that blends the warmth of the music with a sense of vastness and mystery, as if the sound were expanding and merging with the air itself. The final section of Faint Ridges is distinguished by a slowly expanding pulse, allowing the field recordings and an intense piano part to emerge. It's a sweet and surprising conclusion, a natural progression after about 22 minutes of listening: an enveloping finale, capable of leaving a profound and reflective impression on the listener. Despite an airy and enveloping introduction, the second track, "Broken Promises," opens with an electronic pattern that immediately paves the way for a hypnotic and majestic synth line. Wow! J'ai réussi en m'endormir en quelques minutes à peine et j'ai dormi au moins 5 heures. Par contre, la musique a continué à jouer et je ne sais pas si ça affecté mon sommeil en jouant dans ma boîte à rêves. J'ai mal au pieds comme si j'avais couru toute la nuit. Bon, faut que je me prépare et que j'amène les ados hors de leur grotte à Montréal voir la dernière famille qui reste du bord de mon père avant qu'eux aussi lèvent les pattes! :-) Bon temps des fêtes à tous!
