The woman next to me on the plane was watching this show, with her earbuds so loud I could almost hear it clearly. She kept rewinding to watch this part where a guy was full on dick out with an erection on his ER bed.

I’ve been having that classic moment for the last 3 months since switching at home:

“Can you hear that?”

“What?”

“Silence.”

Just frisbee those things in random directions until one works.

“Why do you always write like you’re running out of time?”

“I can drown out the tweens, just one more law!”

Again, people should boycott her, convince people to do it all day. However, this demonization is out of line. I’m just saying if this is your threshold for what makes someone an irredeemable monster, then you should make sure your own house is in order before you start lighting the pyre.

I’m sure by 2050 they’ll start restricting airplane travel or crossing the border to people who are chipped. Given historical precedence, I’m sure 5% of the populace will resist for a few months before giving in.

Probably most people will have gotten chipped already for a discount on energy drinks or something, and won’t see the problem.

While I agree it’s logical to boycott her, portraying HP fans as trans abusers is a bit much. If buying the HP books is equivalent to punching a chained down trans person in the face then absolutely none of us, including the artist here, haven’t done worse.

I’d bet anything they have bought products on Amazon, which makes them responsible for Bezos. Does that artist have an X account for advertisement? That gas they buy makes them responsible for violence the middle east. Are they one of the remarkable few who ethically source clothes without child labor? Bet not.

I boycott all kinds of stuff, but demonizing people for not joining you is nonsensical in this consumerist hellscape where complete harm avoidance isn’t possible.

I can’t speak for others, but my bar for installing another app on my PC is pretty high. It’s probably worth it for the number of free games, but I wouldn’t have done it just for the HP game.

I just realized I’ve become that guy six months into switching from Windows. I want to save even one person, but I’m probably just annoying people atm.

RPO tapped into some deep seated fantasy from my childhood. Much like Harry Potter it wasn’t very well written, but that doesn’t matter when you’re half lost in your own imagination the whole time.

It’s funny that Idiocracy is too wholesome and positive to be applicable to our situation.

What context needs to be ignored? Ketchup is a sauce, which when added to completed food becomes a condiment, just like all sauces. Plenty of dishes are cooked with ketchup in the cooking process. The conclusion from the article you posted:

when it comes to the question of condiment or sauce, the answer is “both”.

Obviously it’s a sauce. I looked up the definition to try and figure out why they would say it isn’t, and I still don’t see it.

“a liquid or semisolid food mixture used especially as a topping or ingredient for adding to or enhancing the flavor of a dish”

TIL, double checked an it’s true. I never would have thought it had to be a direct line. My uncle has more of a DNA match to me than my great great grandparents. Weird word.

The exact moment I read this, I hit the lyric “When it is hopeless” in the song “still feel.” by half-alive.
