Summary:
Alexei Zemtsov, a Ka-52 pilot and prominent military blogger known as “Voyevoda,” committed suicide following sustained pressure and legal harassment from high-ranking military officials after he exposed poor equipment and leadership failures. Before his death, Zemtsov released compromising material on the Aerospace Forces leadership and appealed to federal investigators to address systemic corruption and coerced confessions. He ultimately chose to end his life rather than face trial for “discrediting” the army, requesting that his influential Telegram channel be transferred to fellow blogger Kirill Fedorov.
Magyar(Hungarian) is his call sign. It’s a funny coincidence since both of them are political targets of the Orban regime.
