A really cool story about first contact. It was written in the 70’s, and it shows in the gender and societal norms presented in the novel. If you can power through that, you’re in for a treat!
A novel series about a wizard detective in chicago.
Some of my best memories are of my grandfather reading me the hobbit at bedtime when I stayed with him for a summer.

Ya, I adopted an outside kitty, tried to make her an inside kitty. She would paw at the windows for 12 hrs a day, sleep, then go back to pawing at the windows. Wouldn’t eat or groom herself.
I did however train her out of going after birds outside. I’d go out with her, and spray her with a water bottle whenever she got interested in a bird. It worked! She only ever brought rodent corpses home!
