It’s not about 9/11. It’s not that he needs a good excuse (clearly he doesn’t). Excuse or no, he can’t just steamroll Iran. He’s realizing he fucked up and isn’t prepared to see it through, so he’s just bullshitting and hoping things will work out somehow.
You can be against when it happens to poor people, and for when it happens to the rich. Hell, even if you really believe in “equal treatment under the law”, you can be in favor of the rich getting some of the “equal treatment” for a change— until the treatment changes for the poor.

Not that I’ve always gotten as much sex as I wanted, but I’ve never needed money for it.
Seems like like this could be rephrased as: people driven into prostitution to avoid starvation.

If I don’t understand the spoken language, then I have no problem with subtitles. Having subtitles on in the same language as the audio? Drives me crazy.

US policy in regards to Ukraine is to bog Russia down. Same thing as when they were fighting in Afghanistan. The longer this conflict goes on, the better for US foreign policy objectives (and weapons manufacturers).
