It’s a bit more insidious, it’s like ā€œwhat if I am just lazyā€¦ā€


My strategy of pulling on my big toe has been working pretty well




Nice yeah it’s definitely one of those games where it pays to experiment and just like whale away in an empty room coming up with moves.


Also former insider and can’t believe what I used to put up with before switching. It’s so nice using software that isn’t constantly trying to manipulate you track you or monetize you.


People talk about Windows v Linux being like ā€œyou get what you pay forā€ but any distro or package that fucked around this much would be dropped so fucking fast.

I can’t believe millions of people just put up with their software getting consistently worse.

I have had a ā€œgeneric corporate capitalism educationā€ like most people online. Did you not? How did you get woke to the gaps in your education?


Same. I go between keyboard, trackball, trackpad, touch screen, and mouse. Whichever is lowest resistance.


I love the customization, but would find it difficult to really dig into work with it

But I’m happy if it works for you

I think you can see why people are nervous about this sort of affordance, though. Because of the kinds of pro-surveillance politics it is actually complying with.


20s suckkkkked. 30s were a huge improvement, especially when I stopped drinking. Now in my 40s I feel like I’m made of adamantine.

I hate how all the boring advice I heard all my life turned out to be true.
