Ask LemmyThis is the thing I like least about Lemmy. So many people have no friends or life experience, hate everyone, and want to constantly argue or insult others that it’s difficult to avoid them. I block as many as I can, but it takes a lot of the fun out of meeting people and having discussions.
My bf bought me a brand new laptop with Win 10 preinstalled, and even after disabling or uninstalling as much as I could, it was literally like watching a slideshow. Then I installed Linux, and it…worked like you’d expect a brand new computer to work, fast and smooth. Never used Win 11 because I stopped using Windows after that.
I can only think of a couple Electron apps I use, and none that are important or frequently used.

GamingI’ve seen a flood of threads about this in the last couple days, and I honestly just don’t care.
I use Nemo in XFCE and the file path is always there.

I don’t really understand why so many on Lemmy believe that the most useless person they know is representative of the average person or “most people.” My own experience is more like yours.
