The guy who knows everything on law and order - SVU.

Technically, all air is mostly nitrogen gas.

This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Just having fun I suppose…

This is one of those things I’ll contemplate doing from time to time, then realizing I’m probably too chaotic to actually do it. Looks great!

Of course not, didn’t you read the second sentence? I’m saying making renewable energy just so you can waste it doesn’t help much.

  1. Lemmy was by all accounts a genuinely great guy. (I know, this the shitposting community)

It looks like he needs to pee.

I get what you’re saying, but I disagree. If you don’t use this heater but send the renewable electricity to the grid instead, somewhere non-renewable energy doesn’t have to be used. IMO your argument is the same as the reason energy efficiency leads to more energy consumption. I quickly googled it to make sure I’m not talking out of my ass, and it’s called Jevon’s paradox.

The answer to the question in your title is yes. The answer to the question in your last sentence is also yes. Have a nice day.

The only thing in the news was that a lot of people had no electricity, I think the first time it even lasted for days. The choppers were damaged and had to do an emergency landing but the personnel was fine.

This actually happened in the Netherlands in 2007, and again in 2017. Both times an Apache helicopter flew into a power line during a night flying excersize.

It’s probably hardly enforced or even brought to the attention of people.

The Netherlands seems to have it mandatory since 2009, but I’ve never seen it used. My wife works for the municipality, and she has never heard of it either.

Isn’t it because Benjamin Franklin (I think) started naming his fellow country men “Americans”, in order to create cohesion?

Until they have their own little version of history rhyming.
