Is there anywhere I can find the songs from this game? I'd like to listen to them while I'm doing something else, but I've only found the first one on YouTube.

They are not available anywhere yet.

(+1)

I never played changed before, only saw some gameplays being recommended to me on youtube, but this game is really fun to play!

I'm glad you liked it.

Zoophile and pedophile on author.

Where's the proof?

Furry and similiar is zoophilia, idiot

(+2)

You just don't like furries, and you think you're cool for accusing people without any proof, that's all.

So chill out, kid, and go do your homework

I friggin love this game!!! I've a lot of notes about it cus I'd love to see it evolve :3, I hope it's somewhat helpful!

I love the room design of every area.  Of course more variety of rooms would be amazing but they're varied enough to frequently make wrong decisions and needing to dodge, which is good!

I also would love to see items fully resetting at the start of endless, and some rework of the shop.  It feels busted, especially since you keep currency throughout all runs.  Maybe instead, you could make the other items have a chance to spawn? (with a lower rate to the main 3 items of course) Or maybe reset your currency to 0 at the start of endless (and keep story/endless modes currency seperate?)

Aquatic area is unbalanced and too difficult imo (or too inconsistent for endless).  The rooms last a long time, it's by far the hardest area to avoid damage, and it also seems to spawn very little items compared to every other area.  Usually when you get hit in this area it feels unfair and unavoidable (walls of water enemies in a necessary corridor are very common), and it's an instant death effectively since the area is so long and you'll never find a syringe.

^ Also.. manta rays are flat-- so they're just a 1 pixel high instakill enemy that moves quickly & erratically.  FINE XD but PLEASE make them more visible

Shadows in the Library area are too hard to see and can insta-wipe you when you enter a room.  Maybe instead of an instakill you could do an "adadadada" struggle like the goo puddles in the warehouse!

Jumping feels bad, sometimes it doesn't register due to collisions and/or strafing at the same time.

It's already been beaten to death in the comments here, but it's true that items in the 1st phase of the Tigershark Fight NEED some regulation and should not be pure rng.  Items (crowbars & syringes BOTH) can sometimes not show up for 5 minutes.  The count of syringes is still often too high to the point where the only attack that actually matters is the waves.  Look, I like it, but I don't need to sit through 13 real life minutes (I timed it) dodging the same easy attacks to get to the fun part.  Artificially difficult, frustrating, and not fun!

The 2nd phase of the Tigershark Fight is awesome :) don't change it!!

(I have posted this to the form you linked as well)

(+1)

Hey, thanks for such a detailed review. I'll try to do something about the manta rays. We'll also try to increase the number of items in the aquatic area .Regarding special items, this was done specifically so as not to devalue the Puro store.Could you please tell us in more detail what you would like to change with the Puro store, as well as with the aquatic location?

(1 edit)

see my reply to my own message below, i was having issues posting here ^^

(2 edits)

Thank you for the reply!! And of course ^^ Here's another wall of text, sorry for that, I tried to be more specific.  I hope this is helpful!

---

My issue with the currency system and shops exclusively apply to endless mode & endless mode high scores.

When going for new personal records on endless, the ideal way to play would be to grind for hours on normal mode stocking up on currency.  Then, when you start a new endless run, you can immediately buy whatever you want at the end of every area.  It feels cheap because if you play in this way, the prices of the items don't matter.  You can afford anything as many times as you want depending on how much you're willing to grind beforehand.  This makes endless mode records feel unrewarding (unless you completely avoid the shop altogether), and it renders all the currency you find during the run useless.

My suggestion to fix this is to have a separate currency system for endless, which always starts at 0 when you start a new run.  This way, the currency/oranges you find during the run are actually important to pick up, and every bought item feels earned.  If you did go through with this change, I'd imagine the prices for a lot of these items would need to go waaaay down and tweaked heavily to be balanced.  IMO items should be cleared from your inventory at the start of a new endless run for similar reasons.

It would also be neat if some of the shops were a little different sometimes; it feels a little samey for *every* item to show up with the same price every time.  Maybe only some of the items could show up in each shop (chosen randomly or weighted)? Maybe items can be rarely discounted? I think it'd give the shops more flare and would add a lot of replayability to the mode.

---

For the aquatic area, I find that some room layouts can have unsolvable rooms.  (It didn't let me post an image or a link, so see imgur com / a / uIaXbP7)

You can't go around the box to the left (you'll get stuck and die), and you cannot turn around.  You're guaranteed to get hit by the squid pup ahead.  These kinds of room layouts with tight corridors are TOO tight to be consistently passable without damage.  Either the spawning of water enemies needs to be changed, or the room layouts need to be adjusted to be more fair (more space/more options for navigation & dodging).  Better item spawn frequency would help with this too.

---

I also wanted to note issues I had with general game/item balance.

Speed-up items feel strictly bad for the player unless you're going for a fast time.  There's no value from speeding up since the chaser enemies always match your pace and you're more likely to run into traps.

Juking chaser enemies (turning around and walking through them) is too easy in my opinion, with or without speed items.  Dead-ends in the vent area, for example, are not a threat in any way-- you can just turn around and walk through all the enemies without taking damage.   The only way to fix this is to fundamentally change how they deal damage (maybe with a different difficulty mode), or to change how they follow the player.  I understand that those are both very difficult things to fine tune, so no worries if that isn't a reasonable change to make.  Maybe this new enemy behavior could apply only to the vent area to compromise?

Thrown items in their current state (other than the AOE bottle from the shop) aren't ever going to be worth purchasing over any syringe. There's almost always more than one enemy chasing you, and making distance from enemies doesn't matter; they just rubber-band back to you.  Also, thrown items are seldom helpful for when you get caught in dead-ends.  Using an item slows you down, and the only thing that matters for preventing damage is spending as little time as you can next to enemies.  Basically, it's always better to juke than to use a thrown item, so thrown items feel useless.

I think it's awesome to have a variety in items, and I love some items being stronger than others... But right now, syringes are just way too far exceedingly better than other item types to the point where it's the ONLY item type that actually impacts your game (other than the revive-on-death item of course, which is buuuusted!! ^^)

---

Despite all these nitpicks this game is still really fun! It feels good to play, and I love coming back to it to improve my scores.  Thank you and your team so much for maintaining it and listening to feedback! Sorry again, I know this is a LOT of text.  My hope is that some of this is useful to you guys.

(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. We will take some of these points into account for the new version of the game.

game rules only complaint is that when u slide u cant open doors so u get stuck bc the sliding lasts long as balls!!

Before I begin, I want to say that I have been mostly loving this game, and I think at the end of the day, it's a great fan game that puts a creative spin on the usual Changed formula. However, once I got to the latter half of what's currently available, the game did begin to fall apart a little with some frustrating design choices that, if not fixed, I think will deter people from progressing any further, even if/when more content is added later down the line.

The Good: Starting with what I liked about the game, Transfur Chase is at its absolute best during the runner moments. Needing to make decisions on the fly, seeing if you can quickly grab an item as you pass by it, your reflexes being put to the test, it's all great. Especially in combination with the music! I'd love for this game's music to be made available on somewhere like YouTube, because it's SO GOOD! I could easily see myself listening to it outside of the game. The items are all good; none of them seemed to be entirely useless or overpowered. And of course, it's always a joy to see Puro!

The Bad: By far the worst area of the game at this moment is the Tiger Shark boss fight. The fight relies way too heavily on RNG when dropping the pipes and healing syringes. Some runs I had 4 pipes within a minute, and other runs I had no pipes after 2+ minutes. Some runs I had healing syringes galore and hardly any pipes, and other runs it was vice versa. If you get hit once by either the shark fins or the fish the Tiger Shark throws at you and you have no healing syringes, all you can do is take the gradual damage and hope that the RNG drops you a syringe before it's game over. A huge aspect of getting past this part is having good RNG, which is an absolutely terrible design approach to take for a boss fight. A good boss fight should test things like a player's movements, resource management, accuracy, and more. It shouldn't be a test of luck. To be fair, the Tiger Shark boss fight does test you on movement, resource management, accuracy when throwing things, etc., but the fact you have to get lucky on top of all that ruins this fight. Things become much better when you get the ball rolling and Puro starts handing items to you at a regular pace, since at that point the RNG of whether you'll get any items at all goes away. Even if you do manage to beat this fight though, there's a chance you may need to do it all over again, which brings me to my next point: The saves.

Saves should happen immediately after a level or boss fight is done, not until after a cutscene plays. I streamed this game during the Tiger Shark boss fight (not trying to self promo, I swear I'm bringing this up for a reason). I beat the Tiger Shark boss fight, and I had to Alt Tab to fix something with my stream. Alt Tabbing brought up the main menu, and I misclicked when returning to the game and went back to the lobby area before the "Game Saved" pop up showed. To be fair, given the Tiger Shark boss fight is the last thing the game has to offer for the time being, I don't even know if a save happens after the cutscene, but still. This applies to contexts outside of streaming too. What happens if someone beats the fight, but their power goes out during the cutscene before the game can save? They have to redo that fight all over again. It's imperative that game saves happen right after a level for all moments of the game. I think it would also be a good change to have it be so that the main menu can't show up in the middle of a cutscene or dialogue moment. Maybe someone could still pause the cutscene/dialogue moment, but just have "paused" on the screen instead of the main menu or something like that.

A small hiccup I ran into was when you had to stick behind Puro while he defended you against the one hit kill stingrays. I'll admit that this could be me, but I figured I'd bring this up anyway. I got stuck for a while thinking you had to stun the stingrays with items in order to get to the door. Only after my chat and I re-read Puro saying he'd keep us safe if we ran into trouble did we think to stick behind Puro. Maybe some form of emphasis on the "I'll protect you" part could be good, like bolding or italicizing that line. Especially since, although it's not as likely to happen, there's a chance someone could play Transfur Chase while not having played Changed, so they wouldn't be able to think about this moment in Changed to have an idea on what to do in this game.

Overall Thoughts: Overall, I still really enjoyed my time with this game despite the gripes I had with it towards the end of what's currently available. But it's imperative that at minimum the Tiger Shark boss fight is updated so that it isn't so luck based. In its current form, this fight will deter people from progressing any further. Someone from my chat suggested that whenever the Tiger Shark roars, there's a guaranteed pipe and healing syringe drop, but they both appear on opposite ends of the map so the player has to choose health or damage before the next attack comes. I really want to see this game succeed! Like I said at the beginning, this is a great creative spin on Changed, and if the fixes are done, I could totally see myself sticking around until the game is fully complete!

Wow, that's a lot of text. I'd like to inform you that in a future update, item drops during the boss fight will be fixed. I've decided to make it so that if 2-3 syringes drop in a row, the next one will be a guaranteed pipe. Regarding the Puro and Rays, please write about it at this link. That will ensure I don't forget.

I also noticed a bug with the interface on the recording of your stream, I think I'll fix it too

(+3)

Nearly broke my damn mouse playing this but aye... ITS FUN

(1 edit) (+2)

Ayy the goat, I love your videos man

(+1)

Thanks! <3

(+1)

Thank you very much for playing

why not is black and no picture

hmm bug

(1 edit)

My only bugging issue is that I can't skip cutscenes and that the manta rays are quite difficult which I'm not shocked, this whole game is pretty difficult but when i have to wait for a long cutscene each time i die. You can see how that can get rather annoying pretty quickly right?

This place is easy to get to, just keep near the puro.

Oh a actual bug i met is with Puro's shop, whenever I'm done at the shop it just doesn't work, I'm sure its a bug specifically tied to mobile though

tell me where it is

(1 edit)

I originally found this bug when i first met puro and checked out his store, and in endless mode the same issue happened

Whenever i click "exit" the screen would just fade to black for a bit and fade back in and I'm just soft locked and the only way out is by closing the game and reopening it

O (its obvious i ain't the brightest)

Thanks for that tip but now i have another issue that has costed me a lot of runs, the aquatic room with the narrow pathway where i have to make a VERY sharp right turn or else instant death, what seems logical though is to jump onto the cardboard boxes and jump off those but I can't do that and when i try to jump from the doorway to the narrow pathway the invisible barrier bounces me off so i can't even do that and then i die cause its a insta death pit fall and unless I'm expecting it I don't know how to get past that

I think I checked and all the rooms are passable. If not, please share a screenshot of where you're having trouble.

(2 edits)

This room, the box i circled is the reason i keep fumbling my run (i would screen record if i had the option)

idk, I don't see a problem with going through this.

(1 edit)

The Tiger Shark bossfight needs an immediate nerf. The fish throw and wave splash attacks are fine, but the sharks (in the first phase) are a pain to avoid, they're too fast and too many, which makes it very hard to prevent and avoid, not only that, but that attack is also longer than usual, which causes Tiger Shark to start another attack even when there are still sharks in the area. The attack where objects fall from the ceiling would be fine but the fact that it insta-kills you has caused me some unfair deaths.

But the most frustrating part of the bossfight is its main mechanic. When Tiger Shark roars there's a chance for a metal pipe or a healing syringe to appear. This is definetely where I suffer the most, because it's only a chance for an item to drop, this makes the battle more of a fight against luck, because I had moments where I've been playing for entire minutes and not a single metal pipe would drop, or there would only be syringes when I already have my inventory full of them. This makes it impossible to progress in the fight and is the reason why I am so frustrated by this fight, although this doesn't happen in the second phase due to Puro throwing more items at you with more frequency, it's already hard enough to get there in the first place.

This game is hard, I know that and I'm not against that, but Tiger Shark's bossfight reaches the unfair and it makes me want to post this comment.

Write about it in a bug report, I'll definitely see it and see what can be done about it.

hey! I was wondering about this issue with the game. in the office, the game will not let me pick up any items. like, at all. this happens with everything. i also have not gotten passed the office to be able to test other areas, but may be an issue there as well. https://youtu.be/so55dzyW18Y (video of what the issue is, one example is at the end. sitting there pressing E over and over and over and nothing happens. it worked on the warehouse but is completely broken for the offices)

Perhaps your inventory is full. Turn the wheel to check.

(+1)

I see alot of people talking about nerfing the offices but I think they're fine... It's really up to whether you can afford to run into dead ends, or pass the enemies without taking damage. however, I get stuck on alot of stuff in Dark latex nest (I think in one run I straight up bounced ontop of the obsticals in such a way my collision got stuck), so Im going to post my personal interpretation of each areas difficulty here as of today

1. Warehouse

2. Vent

3. Offices

4. Library

5. Aquatic Area

6. Dark Latex Nest

Ill see how this changes next update ^^

(+1)

I'm surprised that the Aquatic Area ranks fifth in difficulty. I thought it would be easy.

(+1)

For me its the fact that the enemies in the water if infront of you, are absically a guarteed hit, also the manta rays that instakill are hard to see.

(+1)

mine doesnt start [pc]

am i doing sth wrong? https://streamable.com/panh8e

turn on generator

(+1)(-1)

hey, i have a idea if you finish this game, maybe a rts game of changed

The idea is certainly interesting, we need to think about its implementation.

(+1)

Maybe two campaign with 3 or 4 variants, human with thunder science security vs riot, thunder science security vs latex and thunder science security vs tail latex and for the other campaign latex with latex vs riot, latex vs security and maybe others

(+1)

so what you think

Well, I don't know yet.

Does the mobile experimental ver stop at the nest?

The experimental version ends where the regular version of the game ends.

I guess my phone is bad then and it crashes at nest. That's why I want pc 😭

Or maybe it's because it runs on itch

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still crashes...

(+1)

Running on Android but controller doesn't work. I can look around and use other buttons but can't move. Am using Xbox controller

It's better to play with a controller on a PC.

(+1)

Nah but it's crazy how it runs all on mobile

(1 edit) (+1)

Every time I try to enter the place after office my game crashes. I'm on mobile btw. Despite the crashes this game is fun af.

(+5)

i think multiplayer whould be SICK with this game, two people in the story or one person is latex and the other is human, that be cool

(+1)

I might do this in the future

(+1)

The boss doesn't move for some time, the evidence is sent to yr telegram

if you press esc and stop the game for for a sec and resume it, the boss should start moving again, thats how i had beat the boss

(+1)

my one simple request as of right now goes as follows.. PLEASEEEEE make the cutscene skippable, or shorter, or anything. Endless mode is currently GRUELING without it, I cant even lie. Thanks in advance

(+1)

We'll do it

(+2)

the aquatic boss fight doesn't start at all, it just lets you walk around the area, also it doesn't save the game.

Can you give more details?

At the bossfight you can't see the shadows of things that falling from the top of room.

I tested it and everything is fine, I can send a screenshot

I mean that I can't see where it will fall

or just tell me where should I look ?

shadow on the water

It doesn't appear, only on boxes and walls

(+3)

bit of a shame you can't play after being Transfurred. i just like being able to continue after being transformed, rather than it being the end...

(+2)

Technically, it was possible to implement this

(+2)

oh nice, i'd love it if it were added then! i really like playable transformations..

(+2)

Really love this game, my only gripe is the ceiling blob enemies that one-hit you. I have already died at least a dozen times because I run into the room and they're just sitting right above the door

(+1)

It happens

(+1)

It won't work It won't work

??

(+1)

i finally found it yay

Is it possible to find the soundtrack somewhere, love the music.

Not yet, it depends on the musician

(+1)

It's fun to play. But I find the objects in some maps annoying, especially “Dark Latex Nest”.

I have the samw issue, I think I've only ever beaten it twice.

Por qué no me mejor pones y un inicio los gráficos en 0,

Y a partir de los ajustes me pones que se pueda aumentar y disminuir los gráficos,

Eso se dio una buena idea 👍,

O eso ya lo tienen🤔,

There are settings in the game, they are on the table, if anything

(1 edit)

(2 edits) (+2)

its ok

im hard stuck on offices due to it being hella bullshit though. enemies that slow you down coming out of nowhere, not being able to go through wide open gaps in furniture, random dead ends EVERYWHERE, and the god awful roombas. also not a fan of the lack of airstrafing, and don't get me started on the black vignette of doom, despair and everything unfair.

Enemies that are slowed down appear from vents located on the walls. Air control will be available in the new version.

(+2)

i dont like the roomba

(+2)

and i also don't like getting stuck on things i shouldnt be getting stuck on

i ALSO don't like health drain for seemingly no reason while i'm inside the vents

turn on easy mode in settings

(1 edit) (+1)

Será mejor que juego que esté corriendo más 60 FPS

Consume muchos recursos

Y se traba Apenas cargando 🙁

Más que nada Para mi positivo Android no funciona

It'sbetter to play a game running at 60+ FPS.

ltuses a lot of resource

And it freezes as soon as it loads. 🙁

Mostly, for me, the positive aspect is that Android doesn't work.

(-1)

What kind of phone do you have?

Remix 14c 😔

Por qué no me mejor pones y un inicio los gráficos en 0,

Y a partir de los ajustes me pones que se pueda aumentar y disminuir los gráficos,

Eso se dio una buena idea 👍,

(+1)

That's really well done. I'm currently in the library and having a lot of fun. The only thing I would urgently add is a slider for text size, if that doesn't already exist or is planned. But apart from that, please keep working on this game. It really has a lot of potential.

(+2)

I really wish you could lose to the Hypno cat in the vent @w@

Omg I was thinking the same, I tried it.. (trying to get the Encyclopedia filled)

Also the eggs cant kill you either... despite hurting you... might not have a transfur yet...

(+1)

её сделал русский человек или нет

(+1)

Ну я знаю русский, но я не из России

ладно

(+1)

So far so good on mobile, I made it this far in endless mode but there's one problem in the Vent level. Now my PC and Android brothers we all remember there's a small gap on the floor in the vent level very simple to jump over and that one annoying Hypno cat that try to force you to look at it, now these two are REALLY annoying if your doing a long run or try to get a higher score if you're unfortunately encounter these two, that Hypno cat will ruin your jump and you'll go straight to the hole ending your run immediately. So I recommend to stay cautious and stay alert happy running y'all!
