Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Teardown

From super easy to repair to super hard to repair, Samsung has done a 'good' job recently on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. No SD card slot, no user replaceable battery, no USB3 port, 'nice' work Samsung!

iFixIt gave 3 out of 10 for Repairability score to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge:

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Teardown

Not to forget Samsung iPhone, errr... I mean Samsung Galaxy Alpha teardown, which I think Samsung on purpose to make one really looks like iPhone.

Scoring 5 out of 10 only, which is worse than iPhone6 (7/10). Another terrible job by Samsung(?) or you know who own iFixIt now, heheh.

The teardown:

Smartphone Market Share Breakdown (US only)

Who got the biggest slice of cake (market share) in US smartphone market? According to Nielsen, Android OS hold the biggest share market, followed by iPhone. The charts below are based on Q2 of 2012.

Apple is the biggest if we count by company, but when Samsung, HTC, and Motorola and other Android phone maker join forces, iPhone drop to 2nd place, muahahaha.

I am surprised that Windows Mobile (WM in the chart) market segment is still bigger than Windows Phone7, plus Symbian, plus Palm/WebOS. Hey, not bad for a very very old mobile OS. I am still using my HTC Touch Elfin, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

So, who is your pick for next smartphone? For me, I am definitely go for Android.

Samsung Smart Window

First, there was smartphone, then smart TV and now smart Window? Initially when I read the title of the youtube video, I thought just another OS. I was wrong, this Window is not the OS Windows, it is a real window, just that you can do your normal touch screen stuffs. Watch the video:

Even though the reported mentioned that people cannot see from the other side of the window, but what if someone find out how to do it? Don't think it is safe to surf all the rated websites on this window. :P

What do you think?
