Lute FP This is fantastic. Super fuzzed doom in the vein of Uncle Acid and Mephistofelese, but with the fevered psychedelia dialed back a notch and the wicked guitar cranked up to 11.

I largely stopped buying music in this style due to the overwhelming quantity of output in the last handful of years, with little of it bringing anything new to the table. And while this doesn’t feel new, they do the style better than most.

It bounces and it’s wicked. You’ll love it if you are into the genre.

egg-magoo Superb, fuzzed up, garage-tinged, occult fuelled, psyche stoner riffage, Following on from a great EP and a couple of singles this is the debut long player. They sound like the house band at a summoning ritual scene in some 70s Satanic cult-exploitation horror flick and I love it so much it's scary!

A desire to see Psychlona led me to their gig in Bradford in support of The Obsessed. (Bloody marvellous). So...I looked up The Obsessed (and thereafter Saint Vitus too) and I've been having a great time getting into the slow and heavy stuff so reminiscent of early Black Sabbath albums. Gilded Sorrow does the slow and heavy but also "upbeat with weight and grit," songs which sound full of lived experience and conviction. Favourite track: Jailine. thejonx
