Did anyone here have a kick starter?
Brilliant video. Fortnine always makes great films. And I love a good kickstart.
Honda makes some sexy bikes too!
I do miss having a kickstarter. Had one on my Harley.

Never have to worry about the bike having a dead battery.

Fun and cool to use. Makes starting the bike an event.
How old was that HD?
Late 70’s.
Not your typical Harley, though. Harley SX-250
From that time Harley sold a made-in-Italy 250cc single-cylinder two-stroke enduro bike. Actually quite rare … and even rarer now, since mine was wiped out by an idiot in an SUV.
That seems like an interesting make. I wonder how many might be left.
Only 2500 were originally made over the entire 5-year production run, and a lot of them were ridden hard in the woods. They’ve got to be extremely scarce today, especially hard to find one in anything close to good condition.
Its interesting to think of a time HD would experiment more.

Kick starts or push starts is my preference, (mostly I hate pb batteries lol) but also properly retarded ignition, very important to tame kick backs.
Shit my yx125 kicks back hard, even tho it’s only 125cc, that CDI is basic.
The battery.
With a battery you no longer needed a magneto and could have a high-energy ignition system.
Add an electric starter and that’s the end.
Don’t need a stupid video for this.

Are you feeling okay bud? Starting an essay with a rhetorical question is a common technique.
The dirt bikes I rode as a kid had kickstarters and small batteries.
The Yamaha DT400 I had as a kid is supposed to come with a battery. Apparently having one helped with starting easier but ours never had one. It only had a kickstart and it was a beast to kick. One big 400cc cylinder, 2 stroke.
Pretty spicy for someone who seems ignorant of the fact that plenty of kick-start bikes have batteries.
