I don’t understand what is going through their brains, surely even Putin is able to look at a map and go, that’s a lot of bodies for very little land… I know what I’ll do! Throw even MORE bodies to gain slightly more very little land!
It’s like they’ve got ww2 still in their heads but instead of Nazi’s invading Russia it’s them invading Ukraine
Separately I can only hope the Chinese invasion of Taiwan goes the same way
It’s my understanding that Russia needs Ukraine if it wants to hold on any hope for future prosperity, and it has unlimited fossil fuel resources to finance the war as long as necessary.
Additionally, Russia has a far greater capacity to eat casualties in comparison to Ukraine.
It looks a bit bleak unless Ukraine is fully backed by a collaboration of western powers, and, for a variety of bad reasons, the U.S. is fucking that up.
