  • That’s what the quoted words mean…

I always understood dark money as donations made in a way that obfuscated who was actually donating so I was wondering if direct “contributions” from AIPAC were still considered ok since it’s just a “regular” donation.

You really didn’t see any of this on your own?

Not really to be honest. I’ve always seen the media as attacking Democrats when it’s economic policy that helps people and attacking Republicans when it’s culture war stuff. I didn’t notice a shift when the new chair took over, not to say you’re wrong and it didn’t happen.

  • I happened to stumble upon their answer in another thread recently posted on the topic:

What the DNC is actually doing, straight from the DNC chair:

Let’s be clear on what really happened: Today, the Resolutions Committee voted to pass a resolution condemning the corrosive influence of ALL dark money in Democratic primaries. We had various resolutions that focused on different industries and groups, and instead of going one-by-one, we passed a blanket repudiation.

I have made my position on this clear from day one: We must end the influence of dark money in our politics and restore power back to the people.

  • I start with the whole breast while cooking then shred after. I think shredding them and ensuring they’re mixed with everything right after cooking helps, but I never eat it right from the crockpot so it could just be reabsorbing the spiced liquid as it cools in the fridge that is doing the trick.

Edit: I also only cook on the “low” setting even though it says 10 hours, I never let it go much longer than 3 or the chicken gets too “well done” just gotta do your typical chicken testing whether with a meat thermometer or pulling it apart to see/feel the texture.

I have 2 that I bounce between if I ever do feel like changing things up.

2 chicken breasts, half a sweet onion/Vidalia sliced, 8 oz can of sliced mushrooms, 14oz can of mixed vegetables, 28oz can of “small red beans.” I don’t measure seasoning so all I can say is: one metric fuckton of paprika, sprinkle of cayenne pepper, 1/8 metric fuckton of curry powder, 1/8 metric fuckton of granulated garlic, decent sprinkle of garlic salt or regular salt, drizzle of olive oil

The other I don’t have the cans for this week so I’m not sure of the volume, but similar size to the beans just chickpeas/garbanzo beans instead, same vegetables, same mushrooms, same onion, similar size can of the vegetables but of collard greens. 1/2 metric fuckton of granulated garlic, 1/2 metric fuckton of dried parsley, decent sprinkle of garlic salt or regular salt, drizzle some olive oil and small drizzle of soy sauce. Same 2 chicken breasts.

I usually start beans on the bottom, sliced onion, then chicken and seasoning, then the veggies on top. For the chickpea one I pour the liquid from the can in there as well, apparently it’s a decent source of protein. Obviously you don’t need the collard greens or mushrooms if you don’t like them, I just made these recipes up they didn’t come from anywhere specific.

Edit: forgot to add, when it’s done I just pull the chicken apart so it’s “shredded” and mix it all together.

  • That’s not far off to what my actual plan is, but for the sake of “humor” I wanted to keep it concise lol

I actually have an idea based on the assisted suicide pods that I’ll probably do. Just need to get an airtight head covering and a pressure relief valve to keep the internal pressure low enough that it doesn’t hurt and hook up a tank of nitrogen to the head covering.

Supposedly it’s the buildup of CO2 that makes your body freak out, so if you can keep expelling it from your body and the relief valve lets it out of the head covering while keeping the nitrogen coming in it shouldn’t be too unpleasant… Hopefully… Lol I still have like 20 years to figure it out though, not doing anything while my parents are still alive.

  • Because of a number of reasons: one, as mentioned was the precariousness of our financial situations. Combine that with how absolutely gigantic the US is it’s very hard to be able to coordinate a meaningful reaction that people would be confident enough to sacrifice for, individuals won’t give up their house on the hopes that others might join in with them, and lastly tied to my emphasis of meaningful, we’ve been conditioned to believe the only correct form of resistance is the absofuckinglutly worthless “no kings” style protest were we all get together and yell at empty buildings, giving those who attended a false sense of accomplishment. The Media plays their “wowzers X number of people attended” the administration laughs and gives the finger, and nothing happens.

I really don’t know what it would take :(

  • Maybe online dating can help? I only know it from the guys perspective (think: perpetually empty inbox) but from what I understand, women are usually inundated with likes and messages so you can be as picky and you like and only respond to those that stand out as someone you could be comfortable speaking to. Bonus that it’s just online so you don’t need to be shy in person and can choose how long you take to react.

There are 8 billion people in the world so it’s guaranteed that there are people that just don’t like you, which is fine because again there’s 8 billion people so it’s guaranteed that those people are just stupid. :P

  • I think it’s an MMO joke. An item would drop from an enemy and the whole party could choose to “roll” for a chance to get it. “Need” would signify that you actually can use it for the role you play, “Greed” would signify that you just want it for something potentially down the line but can’t use it right now.
