Issues unresolved

Controls locking up

Controls will frequently lock up through gamepad and mouse. Keyboard input is unaffected. Possibly helped by reducing your mouse polling rate.

Issues fixed

Game runs too fast during gameplay

Fix game speed[3]
  1. Install ThirteenAG's fix.
  2. Open TrueCrimeNewYorkCity.WidescreenFix.ini.
  3. Increase the GameSpeed = 128.0 value (e.g. 200.0) to make game a little slower and smooth.

Notes

  1. This version of SafeDisc DRM may not work on Windows 10/11[1], including on Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 when the KB3086255 update is installed, if the game relies on the SafeDisc SECDRV.SYS driver.[2]

Some games protected with SafeDisc v4.60 may not depend on the SECDRV.sys kernel-level driver that Microsoft blocked in 2015, and would therefor continue to function as intended.
