Issues unresolved

Shader compilation stutter on AMD GPU's

Users with AMD GPU's (RDNA 1 and up) on recent driver versions (22.5.2 or newer) will experience shader compilation stutter/hitching after updating/reinstalling their GPU drivers, due to AMD's DX11 driver implementation + the fact that this game does not precompile shaders. Nvidia GPU's don't suffer nearly as much from this issue. Stuttering will usually also occur after a game update, although the stutters appear to be less severe. The stutters will occur every time a new weapon/weapon skin is fired, an ability is used or a kill finisher is displayed, and as such the majority of such stutters should occur within the first few games played after a GPU driver install or game update. A WORKAROUND for this issue would be to update GPU drivers as infrequently as possible, but this does not fix the problem and only reduces how often it occurs. The best thing users can do is to manually force the shaders to compile by shooting/using all guns and agent abilities in the range, and playing a few practice matches afterwards. This issue is still present as of driver version 25.6.2, and will likely persist until it is either fixed by AMD or by Riot, which unfortunately has not happened even after the game's update to Unreal Engine 5 as of July 2025.
