As daylight fades and the border between worlds begins to blur, Pettersson & Fredriksson invite you into the hush of twilight with their new single “Kura skymning”. The title – an old Swedish expression for sitting quietly together as dusk falls – captures the essence of this moment when stories stir, shadows lengthen, and the past breathes softly through the present.
With moraharpa, folk flute, citole, and mora-oud, the piece moves like an incantation: intimate yet vast, serene yet raw. It also marks the first time the duo foregrounds the moraharpa and lute, using gut and nylon strings to carve out a more organic and darker timbre. “Kura skymning” offers a first glimpse of their forthcoming album, due next year on Nordvis.
This recording was produced by Natalie Snellman, Joel Bergström, and Adam Klangvall – who also mixed it.
Myrkgrav är elaka på det där mysiga sättet, episka låtar och med harding av Olav Mjelva. Älskar att de är rotade i berättande och folktro snarare än vikingar och sånt shit. Man blir pepp! Pettersson & Fredriksson

Very calm, soothing, yet strong and evocative melodies. Great introduction into the world of Forndom and a true, even if a bit short, escape from the world of men. Anders Kvistr
