I mean, they obviously hate “illegals” too and most of them, anyone who isn’t white, but whatever. There is a large difference between hating Islam and hating Arabs, and they all seem to hate Arabs and call them slurs. Like, people hate Christianity, which a lot of white people are, but most of them likely don’t hate white people.

Seriously, my grandpa is “very MAGA”, as he calls himself, a “radconservative” or something. He is very open about his views on people being able to freely speak their minds without censorship, yet he gets REALLY mad when I say the following:

By “people”, I just mean my friends and a bunch of other jailbreakers on YouTube, but whatever. I have a few friends. One is a trans girl, which I mention because apparently it’s common for trans women to love tech, and the other two are genderfluid AFAB. Well, anyway, I prefer new electronics that you can do a lot more stuff with and I don’t understand the hype on using and blogging on a 10 to 18-year-old electronic device?

So we have an old computer lying around and I wanna put it to good use. It’s an Apple laptop from like 2016. I don’t have the money for a VPS as I have no job, I’ve had trouble with cards in the past, and I only have a few dollars on my gift cards. I was thinking I could use just the computer and have it run 24/7 despite being inefficient, potentially, but what about hosting it on my own network and the CSAM/weird content issues that I have to face?

Heisann, jeg heter Angel, kort for Angelica. Jeg er fra USA men jeg snakker og lærer norsk. Jeg er bifil og 18 år.

So my girlfriend/myself and her (platonic) partner have a lot of different viewpoints. For starters, the partner, “Alex,” believes that undocumented immigrants are “illegal” and breaking the law, but my girlfriend and I think that immigrants of any kind make countries better. Alex hates ICE because Alex thinks they are at least too brutal, and Alex supports LGBT as a non-binary person but is a Christian with a lot of more “conservative” views (Alex isn’t COMPLETELY conservative, but their views could be considered that).

So I’m trying freevps.edu.pl to run a Lemmy/PieFed server. It’s not working so far. My server is left on pending and no matter how I try to activate it, it doesn’t work. It claims to have “instant” activation as long as you verify your account and is supposed to provide you with an IP address, but it won’t.

For example, I already know that PieFed and Lemmy are like Reddit, but what about the lesser-known fediverse apps/sites?

Alex hater ICE fordi Alex tror at de er for brutal i det minste, og Alex støtter LHBT som en ikke-binær person men er en kristen med mange mer «konservative» synspunkter (Alex er ikke HELT konservativ, men sine synspunkter kan anses som det. )

I have no job, so the gift cards I have are prepaid and only have a few dollars on them. I should get a job soon, but in the meantime, I want to run my own Lemmy instance. I know this is probably a stupid question, but is there a way to do so? If I run it on just my computer, it’ll shut down when my computer turns off, and there is an old computer my parents have but they won’t let me use it because they don’t wanna buy a new charger (The charger cord is broken)
