I think the shocker in the book was her actually her making herself emotionally vulnerable during her betrayal. It’s okay, it’s their choice, but I would have loved seeing an HR manager type lady peacefully asking for help, and going full stratt mode after rejection.
Yeah it looks like a visual spectacle, But I have to choose between two movies. Hence I’ll skip for now
I agree. But if that’s the case I guess I’ll wait for ott release.
That sucks. I liked her borderline kim Jong un personality.
What about stratt? Her personality seems much mellower in the trailer than from the book
Also what about stratt? Her personality seems much softer in the movie than in the books, is it actually that way?
Yeah, it’s hard to imagine all that depth being translated to a movie. Half of the people would just snore through it if movie were as deep as the books. It’s just it’s much harder to be engaging in movie vs the book
Exactly what I feared. 2 hours is just not enough to get into the details books get into. Ryan Gosling seems to be a really Great choice for the actor, I guess I’ll wait for ott release then.
Not just comments. Even lurkers.
With the fediverse it *IS* the tech. Lack of recommendation engines, and overall more sluggish experience compared to established social media does deter a lot of people away. Some things might change, but lot of stuff that makes social media better for most people is against what fediverse wants
Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) the account has been banned from reddit
Europeans don’t get enough shit for writing numbers like that(jk).
Sorry I didn’t read the second paragraph, my bad. I see, but then if you’re richer, maybe you want more choices🤷. That’s why, like giving richer People some place to spend, a mix of capitalism for richer countries.
I mean, I know communism want’s everyone’s income equal, but then idk if such a thing could be achieved irl
In all honesty neither capitalism nor communism solves all problems. Problems arise because systems get too rigid, and it can happen with either. Today’s capitalist problems are arising
because America got too stubborn about capitalism, but at the same time, a purely communist state will undermine a lot of desires of common man.
The best solution is always in between the two, and is very context dependent. Like a lot of poorer countries benefit from socialist ideologies, and when people have enough purchasing power, certain parts of economy can be run by capitalists. The world right now is in chaos because too much of economy is handed to the capitalists.
You’re fundamentally asking for a different society. To be very honest, the Idea is great, I just don’t see how it’s gonna be implemented. Also you gotta be happy with pretty minimal houses, but I guess people in twenties who are just starting with life, this could be all they need.
Yeah Ik this is core communist ideology, I don’t have anything against communism. I just am saying what you are asking is very different from what society is today.
Nah it’s more like the reality outside america where people outside of affluent class own multiple properties too, and corporate isn’t involved in property renting scene. So our rents are lower per square feet for same property, than in the west.
At the same time, if you choose to live in an economy where you don’t pay rent, you will barely find anyone outside your family willing to lend you a home.
And replying to your previous comment, idk about America, but in other parts of the world, people outside of affluent class have homes, and rent is close to or less than 4% of property value annually, not 6-8% Americans are used to. That’s likely because corporates don’t buy property here at scale they do in America.
I hate this type of posts. There’s nothing wrong with renting or paying rent. Most of American rent problem is because of high rent, not rent itself.
But are you an Indian and seeing Indian subreddits or are you non Indian and seeing Indian subreddits
SO IT ABSOLUTELY IS HAPPENING! I thought it was happening to me because I was an Indian, but no, every fucking person is seeing this shit. And no these Indian subs are weird man, they feel so much rage baity, or trying to karma farm. I have been active on reddit for 8 ish years, Indian subs weren’t like that. Some were, but it was mostly contained in pockets of reddit, it wasn’t the whole reddit experience.

Yeah this

Is the internet getting emptier?
It’s been some time since I have been active on mainstream social media. Honestly I don’t even post here or lurk here, but quality of discussions is better here than reddit so I do occasionally log in.
