Do you shower facing the shower or away from it?

Rotate like a pillar of shawarma

Pfft. Beginner.

Rotate like a rotisserie chicken.

Amateur hour. I start to spin around like a gyroscope the moment I set foot in the shower

I stand still and the shower revolves around me.

I spin too… have you ever tried spinning in opposite direction… really fucks with your head.

While rocking left and right how Ray Charles does

I rotate like a döner

Denn döner macht schöner

Now I’m hungry, for you?

I spin right round like a record, baby.

Right round right round????

Right into lovin’ arms.

Except not, because shower sex is horrible. The loving arms can respect my space and wait until after I’m done showering, baby.

Rotate. Why would you just wash one side?

I’m like a rotisserie chicken in there

I start facing and rotate as I wash different areas.

I cling to the ceiling like a frightened cat.

You must be my local spider. Sorry about the view.

OP please tell me that you don’t just wash one side of your body.

I rotisserie chicken when I’m actually washing myself (and take down there hose to wash my genitals) but if I’m taking a hot shower to self soothe / emotionally regulate I face away.

I shower in the shower.

Yeah, idk wtf op is doing but it’s definitely not showering

Underneath? It’s a “rain” shower, it doesn’t matter how I stand.

Fancy

Germany.

Both your one word replies are weirdly funny, thanks for the laugh!

I don’t care for those, not enough pressure for me to effectively wash away soap.

I start by rotating for even heating. Soap my hair facing away, rinse it facing. Wash face facing. Conditioner hair away. Step completely out of the water to quickly scrub neck to feet with soapy loofa. Facing to rinse hair/face. The rotating and rinsing top to bottom.

Done. In and out in 5-10 minutes depending on how dirty I was, and therefore how hard I had to scrub.

I used to use a valve on the head itself to turn off the water completely during scrubbing, but I didn’t get a new one when I moved so I got out of the habit.

I should buy one again. Saves water, costs less.

I rotate like a rotisserie chicken.

I scrunch down in the shower tray like a spatchcock chicken.

yeah I was gonna say. half one side half the other but not split in just two like that. I mean how do you rinse all the soap if you don’t hit both sides?

I turn around so both sides can get clean…

Why didn’t I think of that?

Upside down so I get a good undercarriage wash.

Depends what I’m scrubbing

Predominantly away, unless whatever cleaning I’m doing requires otherwise.

I start out facing away while I test the water on my not so delicate skin until I acclimate, or make whatever adjustments needed. Then I alternate depending on where I’m washing. I tend to handle my hair last, which always leads to a cascade of shampoo and conditioner foam down in all the crevices which then need to be rinsed again.

Why not hair first? I always do hair first, top to bottom.

I do hair, face, then conditioner in hair and let it set while I scrub the rest. Then rinse top down.

It would make sense to do hair first.. but I think the reason I generally do it last is because while I’m waiting on the water/body acclimation, I’m already slathering with soap and as a result, hair care is pushed to the back as a result.

Away, unless I’m stomping the turd down the drain, then I guess I’m facing towards it

Shower time is centrifuge time

Yeah, usually

I go up and down while spinning like a yo-yo

Kind of both?

I hold the shower head in my hand almost the entire time, but when I need both hands (e.g. shampooing) I put it back in the holder and face away from it.

I can’t stand having the water running directly on my head or face - those waterfall shower heads are my nightmare scenario.

I do rapid backflips the whole shower to make sure I’m getting washed all over.

I sit. I close my eyes and tilt my head up, letting the drops fill my ears

I tend to face away while soaping up, and I face the water when I’m rinsing off. I also shave in the shower, and I do that facing away.

… What??
I think your question just broke my brain.

Do you not rotate?

Well, after 3/4 or so of a rotation l usually run out of hose to coil around me, so… no.

I am also in the shower while not doing it, so the question wether l am facing the shower somehow doesn’t make any sense…

Both, I like a good old 360 scrub.

What makes you think I shower?

Generally in my own I’m side on but it really depends on the shower’s geometry.

Facing, but I use handheld one so I can point it anywhere I want. I was surprised this wasn’t common in UK even though it’s fully compatible.

I face it and try to conquer the fear. Then I turn the shower on and swap between facing towards and away while the water warms up

I’m like a hot dog on a roller

The water comes from above you.. How do you face towards or away from it?

Most showerheads I’ve seen are attached to the wall some way or another, so it always comes from an angle.

I actually find straight down to be really annoying and always struggle to keep water from streaming down into my eyes and face. I find the slight angle from a wall mounted shower head much more versatile for cleaning and comfort.

Really? The rail is on the wall but the head its self points down. Unless you are using the handheld part but why would you leave that on its holder if you are using that

That’s some weird American thing.

Most countries normally have their showerheads on a cord that you can grab and direct wherever you want. Plus, occasionally, a wall-mounted one added to it. But you can just put the corded shower on a mount to the same effect.

Having a corded shower is pretty much the only way to wash properly without wasting tonnes of water.

Or public showers at gyms.

I think people are vastly overestimating the amount of rinsing required for a shower. Scrubbing with soapy water is like 99.9% of the shower. You don’t need a constant hose blast of fresh water to have enough water to do that and actually is probably removing the soap too early.

To answer the question, away because I’m not a sicko. But obviously turning to rinse when needed.

Aren’t people turning the water off when scrubbing themselves with soap ??

I’m not a sicko

It’s literally just tap water?

Both, I installed a double shower.

I do a hand stand and face the water

I have a rain shower

It’s quite wonderful

Facing away is my default position when not actively rinsing anything. Either half these comments are trying to be funny with their quips about washing their whole body or they take the faster showers in the world with no soak/relax time
