Two maps showing the distance between a new Microsoft datacenter in Etobicoke and the closest residential houses

I heard about this new Microslop data center called YTO 40 from a segment of The Rational National and I looked it up since I’m bordering Etobicoke. It’s at 401 and Islington. The closest house is less than a kilometer away. If you’ve been following the latest on dc noise pollution, you probably understand what this means. Keep an eye for new structures in empty spaces or former big box plazas around you and talk your neighbours and councillors if you don’t want ‘em.

It is always moral to sabotage data centers.

I’m going to break in and steal some RAM and start handing it out on street corners like Robin Hood.

Funny meme, but I’m pretty sure they use a different type of RAM that isn’t compatible with consumer hardware.

Grab a server too then. 😆

Nope, looks like they use the same basic slots, unless I’m missing something. There’s just more on a server rack.

It’s possible they have lower-than-consumer standards for quality, though, depending on how they’re using the RAM.

No need to break in, just wear a hat and a yellow workers vest, and when is the delivery day, just go and take ram and HDD.
This also can be done for TVs at any store loading deck as well lol.

Really, even if it’s for the World Climate Research Programme or something?

I would help them run their infrastructure afterwards

That block of houses on Adriatic Rd. may never experience snow ever again.
