Privacy is an spectrum, not a binary. You can gain some privacy even when using Windows 11, as some comments point out with tools to do so.
Page 6 clarifies this also includes executions from oficial sources. Given the downward trend of percentage of officially admitted executions vs total, you could extrapolate the data and conclude it should be more or less correct, or at least don’t have a major error.
Also, keep in mind, the report is from 2025, while the complete internet shutdown is 2026.
I’m not saying they report is 100% correct. I’m not an expert in the topic, and only gave it a quick overview, but I’m surprised at your quick dismissal of it. You couldn’t spend 2 minutes to read the BBC article with the source link, but did spend enough time to read and negate the actual report, or at least their methodology?
Overleaf also has a self-hosted option in case you want to collaborate in LaTeX projects.
Since they are at war, doesn’t this classify as the use of a chemical weapon? Israel signed but not ratified the Chemical Weapons Convention.
Obvioisly, this is irrelevant, they wouldn’t care either way.
Some thought I had the other day: LLM is supposed to make us more productive, say by 20%. Have you won a 20% pay rise since you adopted it? I haven’t
but choose to query DNS services instead—especially in scripts.
Why? What advantages do you get?
A simpler and easy to memorize alternative:
curl ifconfig.me
It must have been beyond amazing and unbelievable to be there.
I have huge respect to Mega Crit for this. After the Unity Engine controversy 2 years ago, they re-made all of Slay the Spire 2 (StS2) that was currently on the work to Godot and becamse sponsors of the project.
Currently I’m loving StS 2. The changes are mainly content and a bit of QOL, so it’s clear that changing engines represented a huge effort for them with respect to the noticeable impact to the players, and yet they still did it.
It sounds like they do make some efforts to secure their device, but it’s not their main focus. Theirs is to improve privacy first and foremost.
I don’t have any issue with that: different OSes have different priorities and that’s okay. However, I feel like he’s basically saying that users of hardened secure devices are pedos, and I have a very big issue with that. I don’t know if maybe in French it doesn’t sound that way, but the English translation does for me.
GrapheneOS’s leadership hates basically any other ROM. If you say something negative about GrapheneOS, he will probably call you out as part of CalyxOS team in a hate raid party, or something of the like.
They make an amazing OS, but you’re better off not giving them much attention in their constant drama.
Beep thinks that comic’s author’s name is an ad, and is against it, so they are in a crusade against crediting the author and always crops that part.
There doesn’t seem to be any other logical reason.
You don’t even need to wonder the reason, the systemd mantainers cited these laws as they reason for the PR.
It’s even funnier, since they disallow usage of it if you are from California/Brazil:
“Residents of any countries, states or territories that require age verification for operating systems, are not authorized to use MidnightBSD. […]”.
So the mantainer was is a hurry to implement it for people in countries where it is not illegal to not ask said information.
Just yesterday I found this video talking about this very topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MucGkPUMjNo
I wanted to buy one but they are so damn expensive. DDR5 prices don’t help neither.
I loved the amazing vehicle deformation physics.
Game is Le Mans Ultimate, in case somebody is curious.
I see. Thanks for the explanation.
If you don’t mind me asking, why you got money waiting for you? I’m not from US, so I don’t underestand this concept
