Did they erase it or were they just never there? Last thread about this it seems like it was just that Apple Maps was such shit for some places that they just didn’t fill in locations.

That doesn’t negate that they haven’t been chosen yet, so there is no correct answer, and you won’t be able to say any number at all for that statement. In fact, it may make you mute until the numbers are chosen as anything you say after that would be incorrect.

The lottery numbers haven’t been picked yet, so nothing would be correct until they get picked.

I think scale matters. A year is quite a lot longer than a week or two. It’s easy to consider both the next Thursday you’re going to encounter and the one after that as subjectively “soon”. The same can not be said of a month at least nine months away.

I would agree that your ruleset works on a longer timescale, but not on a shorter one. There’s too much ambiguity and crossover for it to work properly. Having exclusivity in definition allows for better communication, especially for something much more personal like something sooner rather than later.

Its hard to imagine what life would be like if I had something different for breakfast. That doesn’t mean my life would be measurable different.

I think it’s possible that things wouldn’t have gotten as bad as fast. But just as easily the people behind the asshole could have found someone just as able to enact their selfish desires. Potentially someone who is even better at it, considering how much flailing Trump has done since taking office either time.

Thats not the point of it, just how it works when faced with reality. The point of it is for the citizens to exercise their collective will to make their community better.

The problem is people are either disconnected or ill-informed, so at best we get stop-gaps to keep nefariousness at bay.

The controversy was that like one person said they were offended then they changed it (from one generic pose showing off her but to a more in character pose showing off her butt) and people took it and ran with it as though they were reacting to that one person instead of making reasonable design choices.

But only if the children tried to unionize.

And they are usually depressing movies.

They probably could have thought of worse, but then it goes from being funny to being depressing.

I would not look to characters from SG:U for a healthy outlook on anything.

I was listening to a podcast (informal morning show from one of the guys who founded roosterteeth) and he talked about how he got off Twitter and Facebook and everything well before the pandemic… but has been needing to get back on them just to connect with others in his community.

The was a corgi my friends family had, a former show dog, he would intentionally lay behind someone who is standing in a hallway or other passage. He knew he would get tripped over, because he also knew he’d get affection and apology cuddles after.

So basically this for a modern age?

Pretty sure the current Iranian regime wouldn’t either, which is probably the Iran the article title is talking about.

John Jameson gotta watch out…
