So maybe I’m not the only one that first thinks “Hawk from Spencer for Hire”, and then my brain steps in to translate that to “Avery Brooks”
Oaks have made sure of it. They make the red acorns (that sprout in the fall) the ones that are better for a squirrel to bury far away while giving the squirrels tender white acorns to eat right away - there by ensuring strong distribution of seeds. And every so often they have a mast year where there make way more acorns than the squirrel population can eat (but will still bury, just in case). But the mast years are usually separated by several squirrel generations so the increase in nuts doesn’t lead to a permanent increase in population - thus making future mast years more beneficial to the oaks.
Saw the title and the image thumbnail and thought, “Man, Colin Hay isn’t looking so good these days.
I love giving my players puzzles and riddles, but I’m not great at coming up with them. They’ll make perfect sense to me in my notes and then when I trying to describe them I realize important bits aren’t clear.
Our next chance to celebrate is Big Wet Rodent Day on July 26th.
I’m too lazy to take pictures, but I have a synology sitting in an Ikea Kalix and an older laptop mounted to the other side of the wall (that the kalix is against), which is a bathroom in my garage.
We had contractors working last summer and let them use the garage bathroom. After the 3rd day I overheard a few of them developing conspiracy theories for why we have a closed laptop mounted to the wall and with fans that would occasionally cycle up.
yeah, capital delta is a triangle. It’s also used in math and science to indicate rate of change.
Divorce yourself from algorithmic feeds. They’re basically used as Soma.
I was legitimately irritated when the called the gen after 360 the “One” instead of the “Delta.” They had a good thing going, why would they F that up?
Never have, never will. Supporting hate to eat mistreated animals doesn’t sound tasty.
I said, if I was smart, that I would save up for a piece of string

Its made by soaking leaves in gasoline, stomping on them with dirty logs and feet, and pouring on lime and concrete after that mush has dried. Don’t worry too much about what you snort it with.
This isn’t as useful now that IR is a first class citizen, but the Broadlink integration has a pretty solid training routine built in. I have all the IR devices in my house integrated using RM Mini3’s.
I ended up writing my own Harmony replacement using the AppDaemon add-on a few years ago, so I could have the same sort of activity state machine that the Harmony Hub provided.
My stepfather made use of Oregon’s Death With Dignity law. Him scheduling his death a week out was… weird, but I’m always glad it was an option.
Though at one point a doc did legally have to inform him that instead of the painless and easy medical assisted death he could instead choose to stop eating or drinking.
I really love Kagi. Search lenses and results customization are worth the $10 and Privacy Pass is, to me, like an invaluable insurance plan.
But if you’re happy with DDG, then I’d say just try Kagi for a month or two. You’re going from good to great (IMO), and not dogshit to great like a Google user would be.
In my state, train companies are fined if they block a crossing more than 10 minutes during the day or 15 minutes at night. But every so often we have to remind local politicians that those regs need to be upheld.
To answer your question directly, Diesel locomotives are actually Diesel generators that drive electric motors. When they’re stopped they cycle down the generators to a minimal count to maintain power. They’re more efficient in general because the engines are generally running at their peak efficiency RPMs (to drive gennies instead of the wheels). Unlike trucks that are rarely running at peak efficiency RPMs and will burn extra dirty at idle.
Treat them nice, they probably think all problems are solved with C4.
I wish that were true. He seems play more component characters than mine.
The water in whatever you’re drinking today was once dinosaur urine. You gotta make peace with that sooner or later.
To be fair, “if you want cheap chocolate you’re going to have to live with some child slavery,” has been working for Nestle for many years now.
