Ah, don’t worry, Stalin touched kids, too! (He got a 15 year-old pregnant when he was around 30 IIRC and in exile in Siberia.)

https://temp-mail.org/ has usually worked well for me, issues aren’t too common, but they can be detected. Maybe make a throwaway Proton email and use their alias feature? Proton aliasing is good and bypasses temp mail detection from my experience.

Didn’t know the mayor had lemmy. Where is my tax money going?

Nobody ask Harvey what he was doing before he became a doctor

It is Chromium, however, and not fully Open Source. I recommend Librewolf or Waterfox, open source forks of firefox.

I once saw a comment under a video about linguistics of an American who said they mixed up the words “Waffen” and “Waffeln” while in Germany, and they were the American who told the Germans that they eat guns for breakfast.

Thank you, Dagwoodlll, from the bottom of my heart. It was this comment that finally convinced me to get off Lemmy for the night and do some reading. Thank you.

Open up a VM and run Red Star OS, that should be a lot faster than Ubuntu

This is really beautiful. I’ve definitely felt like this

If it’s about a topic I’m studying or I find something worth noting, I may take notes, but usually not. I actually like forgetting some details, as if it’s a book that I love I will probably re-read it in the future. I know that some people like to annotate their books, though I personally don’t (I tried it and now feel very guilty). That may be something you would like, or you can dedicate a notebook to taking notes on books.

Also, I am very happy to hear you’re getting into reading!

Librewolf, Librewolf all the way. It’s a bit heavy-duty with the privacy, but that can be toned down in settings.

Mate, I can’t find that first rule in the list of rules, sorry. I don’t think any of these are rules, fan fiction does not have rules.

If the position is still open, I can! I am on here almost daily. I am the current moderator for c/czechlearning if that helps at all.

I am. I’ve tried a couple different websites. On one, when testing the mic it shows audio input and even echos it so I can hear my voice, but it simply does not connect to the calls.

The official website of the KGB of Belarus. It’s still up today (kgb.by), but I used the Wayback Machine because I don’t trust that and also it’s http. It’s still designed like it’s from 2000.

WOO! This is proof that we actually have power! I am so relieved to see that democracy still exists here!

A VPN? That routes the traffic to the other server, so the ISP can only see you’re connecting to a VPN. Most people recommend Mullvad, I personally use Proton and Windscribe, both free, open source, and trusted.
