They’d have to specify something because if I were to pick something at random it might be something they already know, then I wouldn’t be teaching them anything I’d just be personsplaining to them. Although I could be certain that they hadn’t thought of the ramifications of saying “teach me something”, so you could say that simply by bringing this up I would be teaching them something.

I saw a tweet that started with “BREAKING:”, what more do you need?

I am not voting for anyone in the 2028 primary who does not agree that the US should comply with International Criminal Court arrest warrants. If the subject is no longer in government, they need to be dragged onto a plane and sent to stand trial.

This says South Korea has 147;

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the number of data centers in South Korea is forecast to more than quadruple to 637 by 2029 from 147 in 2025.

The graphs in the paper show the temperature 1 km away from the data center being 8°C higher and attribute that to heat emitted by the data center. That should start the alarm bells that something isn’t right with this paper.

Here’s a post going into the problems with it;

I’ve purchased generic medications on DNMs before. There was a user “Indiapilldaddy” who sold hundreds of different generics. Antibiotics, antivirals, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. With the review system on the DNMs it’s probably more trustworthy than some random website that pops up.

“Like a 12 year old boy after watching his first episode of Baywatch, the US is clumsily fiddling with its negotiations.”

Natural gas is used to produce hydrogen, which is then used in the Haber-Bosch process to produce ammonia from nitrogen in the atmosphere. Only about 6% of natural gas is used to produce hydrogen, so even if the price were to rise substantially, we could divert natural gas from other uses and have plenty for making ammonia. We also have other ways of producing hydrogen, it’s just that natural gas is more established.

PEM electrolyzers paired with cheap solar in countries with high insolation can now produce hydrogen for less than the cost of natural gas, but we’re only recently starting to see the construction of the large-scale green ammonia plants needed to accomplish this. Egypt is currently constructing a 100-MW green ammonia plant powered by solar energy. Even if you didn’t have enough PEM eletrolyzers you could still just pass current through some salt water and produce hydrogen, albeit much less efficiently.

It’s not going to be a catastrophic issue.

Is there more detail on the process beyond what’s in the blog post? I could see a scenario in which the training data was just generated by running multiple playthroughs on a $500,000 GPU at impossible quality, creating a copy of what that would look like on a mid-range GPU, and then training a model. I’m not sure I would object to that.

I’d read a novel detailing how that alternate timeline plays out.

The LG 27GM950B is a 5k 27” with 2,304 dimming zones and a 165 Hz refresh rate. I have a strong suspicion that this is the same panel as is in the new XDR. They haven’t announced pricing and full specs yet, but I doubt it’s going to be more than $1,800, meaning the Apple XDR will be $1,500 more for a webcam, an aluminum case, and some speakers.

The LG LG 32U990A-S 6k is a good replacement, minus the local dimming, for the old 6k and has Thunderbolt 5.

Based on the rumors, I was expecting an actual upgrade to the Studio Display with mini-LED with the price remaining the same. Instead they went with this absurd offering.

I had all kinds of feeders. They were great and I loved looking at the wildlife, but they dropped a lot of seeds on the ground around the feeder. That attracted mice and the mice decided they should build homes near their food source. They decided the best place to live was inside of my cars.

They ate through the wires going to the brake lights, left seeds everywhere, got into one seat and ate the occupant detection sensor, ate 3 seat belts. I managed to fix the seat belts for ~$300 and the brake lights I spliced back together. Sensor is still shot and I’m not sure I even want to mess with disassembling the seat.

Neither Israel nor the US took credit for the strike that hit the school so this could be a matter of genuinely not knowing which of the two was responsible.

The US military’s Central Command (Centcom) said it was looking into reports of the incident, while Israel’s military said it was “not aware” of any IDF operations in the area.

The empty space between the components in the frunkless version makes it look like they would be a lot easier to access for DIY repair. Certainly easier access to the 12 V battery would be an improvement.

Stinks like the Gulf of Tonkin incident and I bet the admin is involved somehow.
