Why do I feel that trap wouldn’t work? Like, she grabs the top of the cup, and the rope pulls taut. The noose is now on the bottom of the cup, and since the top is wider than the the bottom, the snare will just slide off when its being pulled. The worst thing that would happen is that some coffee is spilled. Of course, whoever set up the trap could just switch to a more direct approach, but at that point, why include the snare in the first place?
