Two months ago, they had both gone.

Adorable! I too once had a pair of siblings that would sleep together, groom each other, etc. They were the two sweetest cats I’ve ever had. One was a flamepoint, the other orange. The flamepoint would sleep with me every night in the crook of my arm, and follow me into the bathroom in the morning so that he could climb into my underwear. The orange was the neighborhood badass and ruled the cat hierarchy when he was in his prime. Both passed many years ago. Pour one out for the homies!

I still miss them and think fondly of them.
I’m sorry for your loss. Whenever I lose kitties I try to remember that they don’t experience existential dread or fear of mortality…they just live in the moment and don’t worry about the stuff our excessively complex brains do. I can tell you gave them a good life and they were happy. That’s about as good as anyone can expect!
They were certainly happy, entitled and loved. I shall miss them forever.
