Reducing dependency on employers doesn’t mean completely doing away with employment. Probably the most effective way would be establishing stronger worker protections so employers can’t exploit their employees so profoundly. If employee protections can be designed well enough, and enforced strongly enough that exploitation can be reduced to 0, fully rendering the means of production and their benefits to the worker.

Essentially, we can’t dismantle patriarchy without dismantling the economic structures that prop it up. Turns out liberation movements like feminism and worker freedom dovetail with each other pretty well. After all, no one is free until everyone is free.

It doesn’t. It means that fighting to reduce our dependency on employers is part of the next step.

That seems kinda pointless. Writing on the money atleast helps show how many people hate him, and further cements the (correct) idea that he’s a disgusting sexual predator, that no decent person would want to associate themselves with.

Most people, whether they realize it or not, are biased towards ideas that they see as widely accepted. And this is something that can still be seen from inside a right-winger’s echo chamber. Writing on money probably isn’t going to convert them to the left, but it might push them ever so slightly away from actively supporting the regime, towards passivity.

Not using cash at all just makes your purchases more traceable.

I don’t know how common it is, but I def tend to be socially inept. I think most people are socially inept in some situations though. The trick is finding someone with social ineptitudes that are compatible with yours.

It seems simple enough that I could use it if I really needed to, but complicated enough that it would be difficult to learn without consistent reinforcement.

I’ve found myself in similar situations with past partners. I’ve found that “I need to go to x place. I’d love to have your company if you’re not busy” is a good way to let them know that I want them there with me, but there’s no obligation if they don’t want to come.

Aside from trying to recruit more mods, I have no idea. I think a big influx of Redditors is going to reduce discussion quality here no matter what we can do, and we have very limited resources to spend on damage control.
