5·18 days ago- I have a tech interview today. Prepared as much as I can for the last few days but stressed out nonetheless.
I believe they started with the communists, but the point is still valid (assuming this posts question pertains mainly to the current US policies) since they have been prosecuting communists since the first World War and the following Mccarthy era. I think details matter and if we are drawing parallels, it is worth mentioning that neither Mussolinis fascism nor Hitlers nazism could take hold if it weren’t for the wealthy elites endorsing them such that they could usurp the democratic system and destroy it from within. But yes, taking aim at minorities is like the canary in the coal mine for encroaching fascism. Upending civil rights pays off, at least for the rich.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you call this type of person?...English
1·25 days agoMany ‘types’ of people show lack of empathy and callousness and are abrasive. Types don’t matter, calling them out on those matters even less. Traits are helpful though and I’d stick with those as a shield to help yourself in understanding and processing why it is that a person makes you feel that way.

Autism@lemmy.world•What's the relation between Autism and ADHD? Why are both often related?English
0·27 days agoI don’t think people consider both conditions to be the same spectrum as it then would define the same condition. There might be overlap within the observable behaviour but the neurology that leads to these behaviours is not the same.
