"PSSNGR and Promesses join forces once again for the release of a new EP by South African artist Spenza Man, pioneer of Lephalale House. Born in the late 2000s in the Limpopo province of South Africa, this style of house music takes its name from the city of Lephalale, considered the birthplace of the movement. Lephalale House then evolved into Bolobedu House, a scene that left a deep mark on South African music and helped bring major artists such as King Monada, DJ Call Me, Master KG and Makhadzi to prominence. Over the years, this movement continued to evolve, giving birth to Lekompo, now one of the most popular genres in Southern Africa. Its success has long since crossed South Africa's borders, carried by landmark tracks such as 'Warning' by Shandesh feat. Shebeshxt and 'Wa Inama' by Kharishma, DJ Angelo & Buddy Sax feat. DJ Janisto. With this EP, PSSNGR and Promesses aim to shine a light on Spenza Man's iconic tracks (originally released in 2010), which had a whole generation of South Africans dancing, while paying tribute to a visionary artist whose work helped shape one of the most original and influential electronic scenes in South Africa."
