lemonvalentine very relevant and powerfully written, and i like the commentary on the link between anti-immigration sentiment and technocracy. they are so much more intertwined than people admit Favorite track: God King Google.

CeloListensToMusic I love this track because I followed them on TikTok before release, and the chorus hooked me so hard I couldn't forget about it! I love the full version so much, it inspires me for my writing.

And since I am not British, I didn't know much about the poem by Percy Shelley that is referenced here, but I will definitely go learn more about it now!

Fiver Aoife Zaitsev I'm really glad the bridge was kept secret until the full release because it is easily the most powerful part of an already phenomenally written song in terms of sharp political witticism and incredible imagery. It has brought me a lot of catharsis in a deeply bleak time.

Chris Merpaw This song has been stuck in my head since the teaser on Instagram. Really accurate to the current climate.

about

Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.

lyrics

[Chorus]
The future's technofeudal
God King Google
3D prints approval
No bread, no circus here
Just YouTube Shorts and instant noodles
Airbnb just purchased London
For 6 trillion roubles
Yeah, bubbles burst
But we get frugal
Business as usual

[Verse]
AI generated microscopic camels
Maybe I could get a rich man into heaven
Hey Jesus, hold my beer
Let's turn this Kingdom to 11
Don't mind the mess
I had to make some room for my possessions
6 deadly sins instead of 7

[Refrain]
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hark the herald angels sing
Hmm

[Verse]
I met a man from an antique land, who said:
Two vast and trunkless legs of stone stand
In the desert, in amongst the lone and level sand
I wasn't listening
If he tried to make a point
I might've missed it
Could've asked, but I realised at last
It was my turn to talk
And I really wanna hit him with

[Chorus]
The future's technofeudal
God King Google
3D prints approval
No bread, no circus here
Just YouTube Shorts and instant noodles
Airbnb just purchased London
For 6 trillion roubles
Yeah, bubbles burst
But we get frugal
Business as usual

[Refrain]
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hark the herald angels sing
Hmm

[Bridge]
The manger's a rental, dear
Strangers not welcome here
And I didn't get this far
By playing sentimental, dear
The manger's a rental, dear
Strangers not welcome here
3 wise illegals apprehended
Thanks to Palantir
Smuggling myrrh and frankincense
To this empty cradle here

[Verse]
I met a man from an antique land, who said:
Two vast and trunkless legs of stone stand
In the desert, in amongst the lone and level sand
I wasn't listening
If he tried to make a point
I might've missed it
Could've asked, but I realised at last
It was my turn to talk
And I really wanna hit him with

[Chorus]
The future's technofeudal
God King Google

No bread, no circus here

Yeah, bubbles burst
But we get frugal
Business as usual
