RamonPang engineers a collision between chrome-plated rhythm and organic resonance on Matrix Bloom, a two-track electro excursion that further defines his signature sampledelic dance sound. Following the widespread acclaim for The Answer Breaks (championed by Four Tet), this release cements RamonPang as a vital architect and voice of a young generation’s wonkier, brighter, high-energy dance music.

The A-side, "Matrix Bloom," is a piece of sharp electro-funk where acid basslines braid around shimmering 80s steel drums. It is a sampledelic rush that is both hypnotic and physically demanding, eventually dissolving into an elegant second half. Here, the track exhales into a longing melody reminiscent of Artificial Intelligence-era pads, bridged by new age zithers and harp glissandos. This synthesis—fusing 80s gloss, first-wave IDM conceptualism, and 2020s gleam—is the definitive RamonPang signature.

The B-side, "Mystery Dungeon," offers a dark, calming ambient counterweight. Stripping away the percussion entirely, the track floats in a liminal half-time space between weightless grime and ambient plugg. Submerged karaoke sound effects and gated snare remnants drift beneath the sound of crashing waves from San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, making a nostalgic, digital dreamscape rooted in reality.

Arriving just ahead of his February 2026 Japan tour with longtime internet friend Ninajirachi, and ahead of his appearance at Parameter Weekender 2026 alongside Clark, Tim Hecker, Dopplereffekt, Polygonia and Cousin - Matrix Bloom captures an artist in two of his biggest strides.
