April 5, 2026For the past month, Iddo Elam has been gathering with fellow Israeli radical left activists in Tel Aviv’s Habima Square to protest the war with Iran. As dissent spreads to the political center and these anti-war demonstrations expand, demonstrators face violent crackdowns by Israeli police — while opposition lawmakers are still nowhere to be seen.

Reminder for Israelis that fascism cannot exist without an out group. The moment it stops being possible to invade those around them they will invade the homes of those they target next. All of this talk about LGBTQ rights from zionist libs is going to dry up faster than Ben Shapiro’s wife (who is a doctor).
As an American that feels all too relatable
It should - American police are trained in Israeli tactics. Some US states like New York and Georgia literally send cops to Israel to learn protest suppression.
Okay, totally hypothetical scenario here. What would happen if America bombed Israel?
Samson option
They’d all go bald? 🤔
pretty much yes
From radiation poisoning.
A lot of people saying, “Now you know how Gazans feel”.
seems israel have been keeping israeli protests out of the news since the war began, but before when benny was going through the convictions it was daily reports, but it immediately stopped, likely using the oct 7 as a distraction.
These protestors arent bothered by israeli war crimes, they are bothered by those crimes being exposed.
What are you basing that on?
The linked article roundly suggests that the protestors in question are staunchly anti-war and largely a non-zionist cohort.
It’s still so weird to me to see “cohort” used this way
There are plenty of Israelis within Israel who are opposed to Israel’s war crimes and other crimes against humanity. If you doubt this, I recommend checking out the journalistic outlet +972, which has an editorial team of both Israelis and Palestinians, and have been speaking out against the Israeli state since 2010. They’ve written at length about how hard it is to operate within Israel when journalism such as theirs is heavily suppressed, but much of their work is also available in Hebrew, because they aren’t just writing for an international audience
Its good to hear that, thanks!
