There’s a pretty hard attempt at making voting irrelevant by the right. I think this proves, that voting matters. I do however not fully blame you if you got disillusioned by voting, due to liberals masquerading as leftists.

The top-one is soc-dems. Liberals are more like “👏 More 👏 black 👏 women 👏 CEOs!” and “👏 They 👏 go 👏 low 👏 we 👏 go 👏 high!”, sometimes even “Obama proves that real christians see secularism as a christian value, because «love thy neighbor», we need a second Obama instead of meaningfully fighting the dominionist cult!”.

I think a potential OpenAI “bailout” should go something like this: - The investors get their money back. - They have to sign a pact that they must not invest into AI anymore for a given amount of years (20+ minimum). - Massive regulatory overhaul to make sure stuff like this never happen. Also undo Ford v. Dodge Brothers. - Scam Altman and the others go to life in prison.

Why are politicians reducing public colleges and universities to vehicles of state propaganda? Why are self-proclaimed proponents of free speech turning around and using state repression to enforce speech codes on our campuses? Why can’t we speak openly about our social world in sociology classes? Why are unqualified appointees from the business world dictating to Ph.D.-holding academics how they should teach and which textbooks they must use?

I’m working on a direct media layer, and while Win$lop has API to get paired haptic audio devices (which is how the Dualsense does things), Linux does not. Likely I’ll have to process output of a command line program, which is fine for me.

How do I use internet search to find solutions to OS library problems?

Currently I’m having an issue with WASAPI when using the format reported by the OS and it’s WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE (which is needed for certain devices, or else the audio stream won’t open with E_INVALIDARGS all for standard IEEE floating point format WITH NO CHANGES!!!), meaning I get no sound even though the stream is initialized and stuff.
