That is indeed a cool rock.
I especially appreciate that it’s cool, but of course one can’t discount the quality of it being a rock.
I researched it today I believe it’s calcite in basalt caused by cooling gas pockets from a volcanic eruption then it was carried down the river behind my place in this valley and deposited here probably thousands of years ago. Pretty cool!
