  • Any idea what may lead to this issue?

Potentially a couple of things happening. There was a longstanding bug with Lemmy that prevented mod actions from federating out properly if the mod is on a different instance than the community is hosted on. I’m not sure if that was ever fixed, so that could be part of the confusion. On the CPO side there are currently no pinned posts in the community. The historical workaround has been creating an alt on the same instance as the community. I can look into it some more when I’m not so busy with other things.

Another thing that causes UI weirdness across various clients is when titles are too similar to previous posts. Since the trade posts usually follow a similar naming pattern Lemmy often displays them as crossposts instead of new content, which can cause them to become buried depending on the UI and sorting choices of each user. Changing up the names a bit more would probably help with that.

  • Awesome! Great updates! Thank you for continuing to work on the community. Your interest in the game seems much more “serious” than mine and I really appreciate your additions and effort. 💚

Probably as good a time/place as any to apologize for being scarce lately. I’m very busy IRL lately helping take care of a big litter of puppies 🥰 and dealing with some other crazy life events. Hopefully my schedule will be more normal in a few more weeks.

  • Clogging is pretty common with cartridge vapes but especially so with auto draws. A trick that works with 510 carts is to seal the cart in a zip top bag with as much of the air removed from the bag as possible, then submerge it in warm/hot water long enough for the heat to thin the oil. Maybe you can figure out a way to do something similar with your disposable? You can use a blow dryer or something too but that’s harder to do without accidentally burning yourself or overheating the oil. Once the oil has thinned you should find it much easier to clear the clog with normal hits, but beware you may get a mouth full of the oil that was clogging the chamber when it clears.

Depending on the type of vape you have the orientation might be important too. Thinning the oil will cause the chamber to flood even worse if you aren’t careful how you hold it when you try to clear the clog and while heating it up. You might need to heat it while it’s inverted to encourage the oil to flow out of the mouthpiece rather than flowing into the coil.

As a general rule you need to be careful not to let the vape get too warm in a car, pocket, etc because it makes the oil more prone to running. Some of them are even prone to flooding depending on how you carry or store them.
