10·18 days agoThe state, as an American ally, conducting genocide in the region needs to “dissapear.” The people, cannot dissapear.

161·18 days agoWe can’t be opposed to the Gazan genocide and at the same time use genocidal language like “ejecting them from the region.” Them being Jewish people. Yes Israel should be sanctioned, and militarily invaded. Benjamin Netenyahu should be assassinated, and the country needs to be rid of the Zionist ideology. But there is simply no way to mass migrate a large population without great pain and suffering.
Plus, if the Israeli people, the citizens not the elitist leaders and soldiers, were moved from their country, where would they go? To cause more violence in the regions they move to? The Israeli people have been subject to large scale mass international propaganda, they need to be deradicilized, not treated like parasites.
I agree with having a firm, radical opposition to genocide, but individually, morally it is not good to use words like “flatten” or “eject.” I understand the anger, I think we all feel it.

Technology@lemmy.world•iPhone New iOS Age Verification Sparks Outrage as Users Say 'I Will Switch to Android'English
101·20 days agoWith closed source tech getting worse, the masses will move away from it towards good willed opensource tech. Its inevitable.
My old car has a cd drive and really good speakers, and I have an old Linux computer with a cd/dvd drive, and cds are really cheap, and I pirate music, so the last time I burnt a cd was yesterday, and not out of novelty but because its the only way I can listen to music in the car.
I will probably burn another cd in the future, but ig you never know, lmao.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•When people recommend Brave browser.English
17·1 month agoI agree. GrapheneOS uses chromium for Vanadium as it has far superior sandboxing to firefox, meaning it has more security. However vanadium doesn’t have adblocking.
So I use brave on mobile, with some settings tweaked recommended by privacyguides.org. Also brave uses chromium which is the only way to install grapheneOS in the first place, on desktop.
Also out of the mainstream browsers brave is far superior to all of them out of the box, even firefox, for those who arne’t into researching the perfect browser. It has in built adblocking and decent default settings. I use librewolf 99% of the time.
- Side note I did some research proton is owned 80% by the proton non for profit something which is pretty cool.
One time I tried to run a mc server which sudo which messed up the permissions for the files the script downloaded.
Picturing the character saying this is so funny.

I feel this rugged individualism is a large part of the mistrust for ones neighbour in America. Also the political division.
