Hell yeah! I actually think the Classic Masters album is one of the best greatest hits records ever. Every freaking track on it is a banger. Galaxie I think is track #2 after tones of home, if memory serves.

Lou Reed - Perfect Day has been a big one for the past few years. Or if something randomly reminds me of any given song I know at all, it can be that one for days. Gets maddening sometimes!
“Tones of home” has been in my head so many times. And the past few days, “Jesus Christ pose” by Soundgarden. I haven’t heard of some of those other artists so I’ll have to check them out.
Haha I thought it was a spider

11·2 days agoMoron, “makes it okay” was never remotely mentioned. You’re a fucking idiot who cannot understand that anything could fall between extremes. Try not to wander into traffic and I’ll enjoy never hearing from you again.

15·2 days agoThe funny thing is that I didn’t see the spear but even seeing it, it seems obvious to me that there is still literally no evidence he tried to hurt the octopus. We did not see him even jab at it once.
In any case I get why you didn’t answer my other question. Because you know you’re just looking to feel righteous by demonizing me, despite my making a good point.
Even if there was proof positive he tried to kill an animal I’d think he’s an asshole but still not be cheering for his death like you psychopaths, who are clearly just looking for a person to direct your rage at.

24·2 days agoExplain why you think this was intention to kill.
Can you also explain why you’re such a binary thinker that you cannot imagine a middle ground between “kill him!!!” And “I’m defending him, he’s INNOCENT”?

114·2 days agoObviously, but by this logic I’m allowed to kill any animal that I feel threatened by because they “deserved it”. They didn’t. And I am not.

524·2 days agoSuch a weird response. Unless you think the guy intended to kill the octopus
Edit: perfect illustration of why the death penalty should be banned globally. People are dog shit at proportional responses. “This guy deserves death because he wanted a closer look at an animal and scared it. I will become angry if you challenge this idea.”. Take a look in the mirror people. Goddamn.
Who is this and why does his face keep getting posted?
People say there are parents who do it for good reasons and do a good job, but I haven’t seen that and find it hard to imagine as being common. The person I know who was homeschooled had his life destroyed by his parents, with homeschooling being the first of a series of horrifying blows to his mental state. He doesn’t know the very basics of how society works or anything about math, science, history, or language, but he thinks he knows everything. He seems to think everything taught to kids in school is wrong or unimportant. But his Internet rabbit holes? Invaluable.
Ps he was homeschooled because his parents were religious extremists.
You say this but I know someone homeschooled for years who learned next to nothing and is ruined for life because instead of having lessons for hours every day, he played videogames. You’re suggesting he could not have gotten away with that, but he certainly did.

News@lemmy.world•Trump says gas prices 'not very high' as most U.S. voters blame him for price spike
4·2 days agoAh yes trump is definitely going off other country’s prices. I’m sure it has nothing to do with being a billionaire who wouldn’t know the difference in $20 a gallon and .20 a gallon.
…so old enough for a wax?

Cool. I love how every time someone temporarily stops trump from doing something fucked up, someone else gives him a fast pass to resume. As someone said yesterday, why hasn’t anyone done it yet?
