2·2 months agoYeah it’s confusing. The implicit assumption in E2EE is that it is taking place on the application layer, while transport encryption happens on the, well, transport layer, or somewhere in between. I think the authors in the linked document mentioned chat communications between users which is definitely application layer.

111·2 months agoWhich of them laptops have a track point and three mouse buttons so it can be actually used on the LAP?
I mean technically you can make JUST the age verification without identification, using a cryptographic protocol. But I doubt they would build it that way.
